3. The City will provide the EVSE changing stations and hardware, Cable Management Systems, <br />Pedestals, and Communication Gateway. <br />4. Drawings entailing where at each location the charging station would be installed are included in <br />Attachment 1 to this notice. <br />5. The Contractor shall preserve and protect all surrounding property, structures, tenants, visitors and <br />their property from damage caused by the Contractor's operations. <br />XXIL ELECTRIC VEHICLE SUPPLY EQUIPMENT (EVSE) <br />A. Prevailing Specifications: None <br />B. Additions: <br />1. Work to be performed shall include all necessary equipment, hardware, insurance, and <br />appurtenances at each location. Payment will include all materials and workmanship. <br />2. Securing the proper permits from St. Joseph County / City of South Bend Building Department. The <br />work requires that the contractor or electrician accomplish the installation of the EV charging <br />stations. <br />3. Site preparation (utility infrastructure, boring/trenching, asphalt or concrete removal/repair, etc.). <br />4. Furnish all labor and materials necessary to install and bring into service the EVSE. <br />5. The EVSE unit to be installed will be a Flo CoRe+ and will be provided by the City. <br />6. Pedestals will also be supplied by the City. <br />7. Installation shall be performed so the plug is located on each side of the pedestal facing each <br />prospective parking spot. <br />8. Completing installation and related safety protocols of EVSE. <br />9. The Contractor should avoid power sharing configuration such that each port can supply 6 kW <br />simultaneously, unless required by Indiana Michigan Power and written consent from the City. <br />10. Commissioning/Testing of new EVSE to ensure proper installation and operational settings. <br />11. Installation shall be in accordance with the User Manual instructions included in Attachment 2. <br />12. The Contractor shall be responsible for all necessary coordination with the power company for the <br />proposed service point as indicated and intended on the drawings. <br />13. If applicable, the Contractor shall furnish and install a new, current standard Tesco Cabinet service <br />point, compatible with the EVSE units, to provide fully functional operation of the new service point <br />to the acceptance of the City. <br />14. Coordinate with Indiana Michigan Power to select the appropriate tariff for new meters, if any. <br />15. If applicable, complete application for Indiana Michigan Power's IM Plugged In Program to secure <br />available incentives. <br />16. Electrical Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program (EVITP) certification is preferred but not required. <br />17. Boland Park and Veterans Memorial Park both have an existing 120/240 VAC electrical cabinet. <br />18. The placement of the Communication Gateway will need to be placed in accordance with the <br />installation instructions and may be placed on an existing pole or cabinet if available. If needed, the <br />Communication Gateway may need to be installed on its own post. The contractor will need to <br />supply the materials needed to install the gateway. <br />19. Payment shall be made at the Unit Price as specified in the proposal as follows: <br />Flo CoRe+ EVSE INSTALLATION (provided by the City) EA <br />PEDESTAL INSTALLATION (provided by the City) EA <br />COMMUNICATION GATEWAY INSTALLATION (provided by the Citv) EA <br />XXIII. CONCRETE SIDEWALK <br />A. Prevailing Specifications: 2024, INDOT Standard Specifications Section 610 <br />City of South Bend Construction Standards and Specifications Section 2-2.9 and 2-5 <br />B. Additions: <br />1. Where curbing is shown on the back sides of sidewalks and curb ramps, with or without reinforcing <br />steel, shall be included in the cost per square yard of the sidewalk and curb ramp. <br />2. The Contractor shall minimize the area of disturbances not included in the plans. All areas disturbed <br />within the right of way that are not paved shall receive Kentucky Bluegrass seeding or an approved <br />mixture of Kentucky Bluegrass.
