REGULAR MEETING APRIL 24, 2000 <br />enumerators but it appears that that has become less of a problem. Councilmember Coleman <br />indicated that he will support any appropriation of additional dollars for the census effort. <br />Councilmember Aranowski made a motion to adopt this Resolution by acclamation. <br />Councilmember Coleman seconded the motion which passed and the Resolution was adopted by <br />acclamation. <br />RESOLVE INTO THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE <br />At 7:19 p.m. Councilmember Coleman made a motion to resolve into the Committee of the Whole. <br />Councilmember Kelly seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of eight (8) ayes. <br />Chairperson Ujdak presiding. <br />BILL NO. 27-00 A BILL AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE, AND <br />ESTABLISHING AN HISTORIC LANDMARK FOR THE <br />STRUCTURE LOCATED AT 501 WEST COLFAX, <br />COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE REMEDY BUILDING, IN <br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />Councilmember White indicated that the Zoning and Annexation Committee met this afternoon on <br />this bill and she moved that this substitute bill be continued until the June 12, 2000 meeting of the <br />Council. Councilmember Coleman seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of eight (8) <br />ayes. <br />BILL NO. 39 -00 A BILL TO VACATE THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED <br />PROPERTY: PART OF THE FIRST EAST/WEST ALLEY <br />NORTH OF COLFAX AVENUE, FROM THE WEST <br />RIGHT -OF -WAY OF THE FIRST NORTH/SOUTH ALLEY <br />WEST OF WILLIAM STREET TO THE WEST RIGHT -OF- <br />WAY OF WILLIAM STREET, A DISTANCE OF <br />APPROXIMATELY 395 FEET AND A WIDTH OF 14 <br />FEET, LOCATED IN THE MILLER'S SUBDIVISION OF <br />BANK OUTLOTS 8 & 9 IN SOUTH BEND, ST. JOSEPH <br />COUNTY, INDIANA <br />Councilmember Coleman made a motion to withdraw this bill from consideration at the request of <br />the Petitioner. Councilmember Aranowski seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of <br />eight (8) ayes. <br />BILL NO. 34 -00 A BILL TO VACATE THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED <br />PROPERTY: THE FIRST STREET TO BE VACATED IS <br />THE EAST HALF OF ECLIPSE PLACE FROM THE <br />SOUTH RIGHT -OF -WAY OF KELLER STREET TO THE <br />SOUTH RIGHT -OF -WAY OF MARQUETTE <br />BOULEVARD, A DISTANCE OF 672.6 FEET AND A <br />WIDTH OF 30 FEET. PART LOCATED IN THE VERNON <br />HEIGHTS ADD., SOUTH BEND, ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, <br />INDIANA. THE SECOND STREET TO BE VACATED IS <br />KELLER STREET FROM THE EAST RIGHT -OF -WAY OF <br />ECLIPSE PLACE TO THE WEST RIGHT -OF -WAY OF <br />KALEY STREET FOR A DISTANCE OF 280.5 FEET AND <br />A WIDTH OF 50 FEET.
