REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 10, 2000 <br />WHEREAS, Council Member Hosinski will also be rem- eriibered for his keen sense of wit <br />and humor, and his sincere efforts to assure that the concerns of all residents and promoters of the <br />City of South Bend had the opportunity to be heard. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South <br />Bend, Indiana, as follows: <br />Section I. On behalf of all the citizens of the City of South Bend, Indiana; the Common <br />Council thanks JOHN HOSINSKI for his four (4) years of service as a Council Member at Large for <br />the City of South Bend. <br />Section II. The Common Council wishes John continued success in his law career and the <br />very best to his wife, Bonnie, and their growing family. <br />Section III. The Common Council is especially proud to see that Council Member Hosinski <br />has continued the Hosinski family tradition of public service by following in the footsteps of his <br />father, Judge William Hosinski, and his grandfather, Sheriff William "Big Bill" Hosinski. <br />Section W. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption by <br />the Common Council and approval by the Mayor. <br />s /James Aranowski, First District s/David A. Luecke, Mayor <br />Counncilmember Coleman made the prese`n'tation for this Resolution by reading it in its entirety and <br />presenting it to Mr. Hosinski who accepted the Resolution and thanked members of the Council. At <br />this time Councilmembers Kelly, Ujdak and Pfeifer make brief remarks concerning Mr. Hosinski's <br />tenure on the Council and Councilmember Kelly made a motion to adopt this Resolution. <br />Councilmember Varner seconded the motion which carried by acclamation. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2924-00 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, COMMENDING <br />ROD SNIADECKI FOR 3 YEARS OF PUBLIC SERVICE <br />AS A COUNCIL MEMBER AT LARGE <br />WHEREAS, the South Bend Common Council acknowledges that Rod Sniadecki is <br />completing his third year as a Council Member at Large; and <br />WHEREAS-, during his term on the Common Council, Council Member Sniadecki showed <br />deep compassion and concern for the citizens he served and those who asked for his assistance; and <br />WHEREAS, some of Council Member Sniadecki's activities included serving on the wage <br />and benefit negotiating team which bargained with the Teamsters, and being the Council's <br />representative on the Area Plan Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, as Chairperson of the Utilities Committee, Council Member Sniadecki assured <br />all concerned citizens of their right to be heard when the City of South Bend was contemplating the <br />construction of a new water tower; and <br />
