White <br />Absent: James Aranowski <br />2nd District President <br />3rd District <br />4'h District <br />5th District <br />01' District Chairperson, Committee of the Whole <br />At -Large <br />At -Large <br />At -Large <br />15` District Vice - President <br />REPORT FROM THE SUB- COMMITTEE ON MINUTES <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: The sub - committee has inspected the minutes <br />of the December 13, 1999 and January 3, 2000 meetings of the Council and found them correct. <br />Therefore, we recommend the same be approved. <br />s /Sean Coleman <br />s/David Varner <br />Councilmember Coleman made a motion that the minutes of the December 13, 1999 and January <br />3, 2000 meetings of the Council be accepted and placed on file. Councilmember Kelly seconded the <br />motion which carried by a voice vote of eight (8) ayes. <br />SPECIAL BUSINESS <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2823-00 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, COMMENDING <br />JOHN HOSINSKI FOR 4 YEARS OF PUBLIC SERVICE <br />AS A COUNCIL MEMBER AT LARGE <br />WHEREAS, the South Bend Common Council acknowledges that John Hosinski is <br />completing his fourth year as a Council Member at Large; and <br />WHEREAS, during his term on the Common Council, Council Member Hosinski displayed <br />particular attention to detail as evidenced by his special attention to matters of "miscellany" coming <br />before various Council Committees, as well as the Council as a whole; and <br />WHEREAS, some of Council Member Hosinski's activities included serving as a <br />conscientious Chairperson of the Zoning and Annexation Committee and serving as the Vice - <br />President of the Common Council; <br />WHEREAS, Council Member Hosinski will be remembered for his efforts to ease the <br />parking restrictions in the East Bank area so that future economic development could take place, as <br />well as his successful efforts in promoting and furthering the "Bonnie Hosinski" Leeper Park <br />sidewalk project; and <br />
