“Page content is subject to Confidentiality Restrictions” City of Arvada, Colorado | Project #37213 | M&V Report – Year 2 | Page 24 City of Arvada, Colorado ECM 11: Gas Procurement Optimization Savings Unit Guaranteed Verified Dollars $31,678 $31,678 Overview of ECM This measure included transferring natural gas supply from Xcel Energy to a third party provider at Arvada Center, City Hall, Indiana Shops, Lake Arbor Clubhouse, Ralston Water Treatment Plant, Streets Maintenance, West Woods Golf Clubhouse, and Wastewater Operations. Ameresco initiated the transition to a third party gas supplier, based on a fixed commodity rate contract, and it will be up to the City to rebid and renew the contract in future years. Commissioning Ameresco ran and tested the phone lines to the gas meters and solicited third party gas bids on behalf of the City of Arvada. Installation of the phone lines were inspected and found to be acceptable by Ameresco. The City’s IT Department verified the dial tones on the new analog phone lines. Final third party natural gas supply agreements have not yet been executed by the City of Arvada. Approval of the transport gas agreement between Constellation Energy and the City of Arvada was not approved by the City’s Legal Department at the conclusion of the construction period. Ameresco has completed the installation of the analog phone lines and has completed the RFP for transport gas services, as required by the scope of work. The completion of this ECM requires the City’s acceptance of the base service agreement, followed then by locking in the gas rates with their preferred third party transport gas provider. Ameresco can assist with getting natural gas supply agreements in place upon request. Measurement & Verification The M&V Plan for this ECM was based on Agreed Upon Savings. The savings for this measure are achieved upon project acceptance.
