REGULAR MEETING <br />ATTEST: <br />s /Loretta J. Duda, City Clerk <br />DECEMBER 8, 2003 <br />s /Stephen J. Luecke, Mayor <br />City Clerk Loretta Duda noted that Ms. Parmerlee has served for twenty -four (24) years with the <br />City of South Bend in various capacities. <br />Councilmember David Varner, 1306 Clayton Street, South Bend, Indiana, made the presentation <br />for this Resolution by reading it in its entirety, offering his comments and presenting it to Ms. <br />Parmerlee. <br />A Public Hearing was held on the Resolution at this time. <br />City Clerk Loretta Duda stated that Ms. Parmerlee has not only dedicated her time to her job but <br />also the community and stated that it has been a pleasure working with her. <br />There was no one else present wishing to speak to the Council either in favor of or in opposition to <br />this Resolution. <br />Councilmember King made a motion to adopt this Resolution by acclamation. Councilmember <br />Coleman seconded the motion which carried. <br />Ms. Parmerlee thanked the Council for the honor of this Resolution. She stated that she has truly <br />enjoyed working in the City Clerk's office the last nine (9) years and hopes to continue her <br />employment with the City in January. <br />RESOLVE INTO THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE <br />At 7:40 p.m. Councilmember Coleman made a motion to resolve into the Committee of the Whole. <br />Councilmember Varner seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes. <br />Councilmember King, Chairperson, Committee of the Whole, presiding. <br />Councilmember King explained the procedures to be followed for tonight's meeting in accordance <br />with Article 1, Section 2 -11 of the South Bend Municipal Code. <br />Councilmember King announced that the Petitioner of Bill No. 62 -03 has asked that the Public <br />Hearing on this bill be postponed until January 12, 2004. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />BILL NO. 75 -03 PUBLIC HEARING ON A BILL AMENDING THE <br />ZONING ORDINANCE FOR PROPERTIES LOCATED AT <br />1804 & 2014 WEST WASHINGTON AVENUE, 1610,1628, <br />1636 & 1721 CIRCLE AVENUE AND 218 SOUTH GRANT <br />STREET ALL IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />Councilmember Kuspa, Chairperson, Zoning & Annexation Committee, reported that this <br />Committee met this afternoon and it was the consensus of the Committee to send this bill to the full <br />Council with an unfavorable recommendation. <br />Mr. Jeff Myer, Staff Member, Area Plan Commission, 1 lth Floor County -City Building, South <br />Bend, Indiana, residing at 1805 Hickory Road, South Bend, Indiana, presented the report from the <br />Area Plan Commission. <br />Mr. Myers advised that the Petitioners are requesting a zone change from "D" Light Industrial, `B" <br />-7- <br />
