Perform high-level roadway segment capacity analysis using horizon year ADT volumes
and Highway Capacity Manual generalized service volumes for up to eight (8) locations
within the new roadway network and surrounding development. It is assumed that the
proposed roadway cross-section will be per NACTO standards for complete street
elements.
10. Perform a safety analysis for the Eddy Street/Sample Street Study Area to include the
following items:
a. Obtain the historical crash data from the past five (5) years and summarize it in the
form of graphs. Collision Diagrams for up to four (4) high crash movements/locations
will be prepared. Coordinate with City of South Bend and MACOG to request and
analyze data needed for analysis.
b. Tables and charts will be prepared to summarize the existing crash patterns at these
locations to provide a descriptive crash analysis.
c. The results will be analyzed to determine if there is a potential for safety improvements,
and to begin considering different countermeasures that would mitigate safety concerns
that have been identified.
Page 5
(Exhibit A — Engineer's Services)
EJCDC E-500 Agreement Between Owner and Engineer for Professional Services
Copyright © 2008 National Society of Professional Engineers for EJCDC.
