SECTION III. In the event that a Local Option Income Tax <br />becomes effective and tax income from that Local Option Income Tax <br />is received by the City of South Bend in its general fund in 1986, <br />the annual pay for the Officers and other sworn members and <br />recruits of the South Bend Police Department for the calendar year <br />1986 shall be as follows rather than as listed in Section II, <br />above: <br />RANK 1986 WITH LOCAL <br />OPTION TAX <br />Police Chief <br />32,162.00 <br />Division Chiefs <br />29,642.00 <br />Captains <br />27,332.00 <br />Lieutenants <br />23,685.00 <br />Sergeants <br />22,685.00 <br />Corporals <br />21,685.00 <br />Patrolmen First Class <br />18,805.00 <br />Recruits <br />16,538.00 <br />SECTION IV. Additional Pay <br />(a) If a sworn member is subpoenaed to court or has to go to <br />court or is required to appear at any given location to validate a <br />complaint, warrant or recall, and if that sworn member is off duty, <br />the sworn member shall be paid at the rate of time and one -half <br />(1/2) their regularly scheduled pay during a work day, in an amount <br />not less than four (4) hours if they are on their regularly <br />scheduled day off at the time of the required appearance. <br />(b) Any sworn member required to work overtime shall be paid <br />at the rate of one and one half (1 1/2) time their normal rate of <br />pay in an amount not less than one (1) hour for any overtime beyond <br />their normal work day schedule. <br />(c) Each sworn member shall be entitled to receive Sixty -Two <br />Dollars ($62.00) for each of the holidays listed below, whether <br />such holiday is worked or not. Pay for such holidays shall be <br />received during the pay period in which the holiday occurs; <br />however, no holiday shall be paid in advance of its occurrence. <br />Paid holidays: <br />New Year's Day <br />Lincoln's Birthday <br />Washington's Birthday <br />Good Friday <br />Easter Sunday <br />Memorial Day <br />4th of July <br />Labor Day <br />Columbus Day <br />Veteran's Day <br />Thanksgiving Day <br />Christmas Day <br />(d) Night incentive and hazard pay shall be paid at the rate <br />of Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) per year. <br />SECTION V. <br />Other Monetary Fringe Benefits <br />
