SECTION III. In the event that a Local Option Income Tax becomes effective and tax income from that Local Option Income Tax is received by the City of South Bend in its general fund in 1986, the annual pay for the Officers and other sworn members and recruits of the South Bend Police Department for the calendar year 1986 shall be as follows rather than as listed in Section II, above: RANK 1986 WITH LOCAL OPTION TAX Police Chief 32,162.00 Division Chiefs 29,642.00 Captains 27,332.00 Lieutenants 23,685.00 Sergeants 22,685.00 Corporals 21,685.00 Patrolmen First Class 18,805.00 Recruits 16,538.00 SECTION IV. Additional Pay (a) If a sworn member is subpoenaed to court or has to go to court or is required to appear at any given location to validate a complaint, warrant or recall, and if that sworn member is off duty, the sworn member shall be paid at the rate of time and one -half (1/2) their regularly scheduled pay during a work day, in an amount not less than four (4) hours if they are on their regularly scheduled day off at the time of the required appearance. (b) Any sworn member required to work overtime shall be paid at the rate of one and one half (1 1/2) time their normal rate of pay in an amount not less than one (1) hour for any overtime beyond their normal work day schedule. (c) Each sworn member shall be entitled to receive Sixty -Two Dollars ($62.00) for each of the holidays listed below, whether such holiday is worked or not. Pay for such holidays shall be received during the pay period in which the holiday occurs; however, no holiday shall be paid in advance of its occurrence. Paid holidays: New Year's Day Lincoln's Birthday Washington's Birthday Good Friday Easter Sunday Memorial Day 4th of July Labor Day Columbus Day Veteran's Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day (d) Night incentive and hazard pay shall be paid at the rate of Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) per year.
