That’s why we proactively manage our relationships
with clients. As a rule, clients don’t simply want to be
notified when the job is done—they want to be kept up
to speed. So we listen, we communicate, and we deliver.
For us, the ultimate reward is a happy client. We believe
every job is different, and that we owe it to you to never
make assumptions. Sure, we have plenty of experience,
but we realize your needs are unique—so we won’t
take anything for granted. We believe working hard for
our clients is its own reward. That’s why we’re proud
to stand behind the projects we work on. Besides, the
majority of our business is from repeat customers. That’s
a testament not only to the quality of our work, but also
to the quality of our client service.
Steve
Menis
Brad
Dailey
WHY CHOOSE DLZ
AND OUR TEAM?
The Best Project
Manager and Engineer
to get your job done! Quality
Using best practices and guidance from the City, we
will develop standards for the bidirectional flow of
information between the construction and design
teams. It’s critical on a project with a significant
footprint, that standard processes and procedures be
followed by all team members to confirm the integrity
of the construction.
Communication
There are various audiences and types of
communication on a project like this. The highest
priority communications are those related to the
safety of the public and workforce on site. A detailed
communication plan for the project will be developed
for both inter and intra project communications,
including a robust plan for needs related to public
outreach.
Safety and Work Site Management
Safety of the worker and public are of utmost
importance. For this project, eliminating pedestrian
and worker interactions that could create unsafe
conditions will be critical. The team will scrutinize
the staging and proposed work plan, and address
deficiencies. We will communicate with the City to
inform you of changes to site access in order to notify
the public and monitor safety and mobility.
Schedule
DLZ will work tirelessly with the contractor to keep
the project on schedule, but we will not sacrifice the
quality of construction to maintain schedule.
Team Compliance with ADA Experience
DLZ has experience with the successful construction
of various projects that accommodate ADA compliant
facilities. Small tweaks to sidewalk, and ramp cross-
slopes can push grades out of compliance. We have
proven inspection techniques to help reduce these
risks.
Teamwork
The DLZ Team will function as an extension of your
staff, all working toward the common goal of a
successful project.
Cost Control
The DLZ Team will be constantly vigilant for cost
saving opportunities on the project. This can be
accomplished through various avenues including value
added opportunities, change order management,
identifying potential issues prior to causing a delay,
and managing inspection staffing levels.
