16 years through 19 years 10 working days <br /> 20 years and over 11 working days <br /> (b) New sworn members hired after December 31, 1986, and working <br /> 24-hour shifts shall have the following vacation schedule: <br /> Years of Service Days of Vacation <br /> 0 - 1 year 1 working day <br /> 1 - 7 years 4 working days <br /> 8 - 15 years 6 working days <br /> 16 - 19 years 8 working days <br /> 20 years + 10 working days <br /> (c) The present officers or sworn members working non-24-hour shifts <br /> shall remain on the present vacation schedule which is as follows: <br /> Years of Service Days of Vacation <br /> 6 months through 1 year 5 working days <br /> 2 years through 7 years 10 working days <br /> 8 years through 15 years 15 working days <br /> 16 years through 19 years 20 working days <br /> 20 years and over 25 working days <br /> (d) New sworn members hired after December 31, 1986 and working <br /> non-24-hour shifts shall have the following vacation schedule: <br /> Years of Service Days of Vacation <br /> 0 - 1 year 1 working day per month after 8 months <br /> 1 - 3 years 6 working days <br /> 4 - 5 years 10 working days <br /> 6 - 10 years 12 working days <br /> 11 - 15 years 15 working days <br /> 16 - 19 days 18 working days <br /> 20 years + 21 working days <br /> (e) Sworn members hired between the effective date of this ordinance up <br /> to and including December 31, 1986, shall be entitled to the schedule of <br /> present sworn members for their respective 24-hour or non-24-hour shifts. <br /> (f) The above terms shall be subject to approval by the Board of Public <br /> Safety through the Board's approval of a proper Resolution. <br /> SECTION VIII. PAID SICK LEAVE <br /> (a) Present officers or sworn members working non-24 hour shifts shall <br /> have eight (8) sick days per calendar year with a maximum accrual of one <br /> hundred (100) sick days in a sick leave bank. <br /> (b) New sworn members hired after December 31, 1986, and working non-24 <br /> hour shifts shall have eight (8) paid sick days each calendar year with a <br /> maximum accrual of forty-five (45) paid sick days in a sick leave bank. <br /> (c) Present officers or sworn members working 24-hour shifts shall be <br /> entitled to Five (5) paid sick days per calendar year with a maximum <br /> allowable accrual of thirty-eight (38) paid sick days. <br /> 4 <br />
