following annual amounts over the base salary for their rank: <br /> 1987 1988 <br /> $925.00 $1,050.00 <br /> (f) Regularly assigned members of the Hazardous Materials Handling <br /> • Team, the following annual amounts: <br /> 1987 1988 <br /> $400.00 $600.00 <br /> (g) All officers and sworn members shall receive Five Hundred and <br /> Forty-Four Dollars ($544.00) holiday pay, gross for the year. Such holiday <br /> pay shall be paid in two (2) equal installments of Two Hundred Seventy-Two <br /> Dollars ($272.00) gross each, payable by the 15th day of June and the 15th <br /> day of December. The holiday pay shall be paid to each officer or sworn <br /> member regardless of whether the holiday is worked. <br /> SECTION V. OTHER MONETARY FRINGE BENEFITS <br /> (a) Clothin& allowance: Officers and other sworn members shall <br /> receive an annual clothing allowance of Seven Hundred Ninety-Nine Dollars <br /> ($799.00), one-half (1/2) of which shall be paid on or before June 15th and <br /> one-half (1/2) of which shall be paid on or before December 15th. <br /> (b) Dependent Health Insurance: The annual contribution by the <br /> officers or sworn members for dependent health insurance costs related to <br /> the City of South Bend's self-funded health insurance program shall remain <br /> at the 1986 level during the period covered by this Ordinance. <br /> SECTION VI. HEALTH CARE INSURANCE COST REDUCTION PROGRAM <br /> The Board of Health Care Insurance Oversight, shall continue to operate <br /> in an advisory capacity to and under the direction of the City Controller. <br /> This Board shall be composed of representatives of the South Bend Fire <br /> Fighters Association, Local No. 362 and employees of the Department of <br /> Administration and Finance of the City of South Bend, together with other <br /> employees of the City of South Bend. It shall be the responsibility of the <br /> Board to review, under the direction of the City Controller, on a regular <br /> basis the activities of the City's Health Care Insurance program. . <br /> In addition, in an effort to control health care costs, the City's <br /> current health insurance package shall be modified to provide a program <br /> containing comprehensive major medical health insurance which would provide <br /> for first dollar after a one hundred dollar ($100.00) deductible per year is <br /> met by the officers or sworn members deductibles of ten percent (10%) of the <br /> cost of such major medical expenses, with maximum claims annual cost to the <br /> employee for such coverage being Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00). <br /> SECTION VII. VACATION: (a) The present officers or sworn members who <br /> work a 24-hour shift shall remain on the present vacation schedule which is <br /> as follows: <br /> Years of Service Days of Vacation <br /> 6 months through 1 year 3 working days <br /> 1 year through 7 years 6 working days <br /> 8 years through 15 years 8 working days <br /> 3 <br />
