Engineers 6-7 years of service $20,219 $20,519 <br /> Engineers 5-6 years of service $19,469 $19,769 <br /> Engineers 3-5 years of service $19,719 $20,019 <br /> Firefighter 1st Class $18,169 $18,469 <br /> Firefighters $16,169 $16,469 <br /> The following sets forth the service requirements of the following ranks: <br /> 0 to 1 year In training <br /> 1 to 2 years Firefighter <br /> 2 to 3 years Firefighter 1st Class <br /> (b) A signing bonus of one thousand and five hundred and fifty dollars <br /> ($1,550.00) shall be paid to all officers and sworn members of the South <br /> Bend Fire Department who are employed by the Department at the time of the <br /> effective date of this ordinance and in accordance with the following <br /> provisions: <br /> (1) that all officers and sworn members who were officers and sworn <br /> members employed by the Fire Department at the time of the effective date of <br /> this ordinance shall be entitled to receive said bonus; <br /> (2) that One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) in bonus shall be paid to <br /> such entitled members after the first full pay period after January 1, <br /> 1987, representing the first payment of said signing bonus; <br /> (3) that Five Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($550.00) in bonus shall be <br /> paid to such entitled members after the first full pay period after January <br /> 1, 1988, representing the final payment of said signing bonus; <br /> (4) that none of the amounts of the signing bonus shall be attributed <br /> to the annual salary base for pension purposes. <br /> SECTION III. Additional pay for Extra Duty and Special Performance. <br /> (a) For recall or overtime pay, time and one-half regularly scheduled <br /> pay for a work day. <br /> (b) For regularly assigned drivers of fire trucks and other heavy <br /> equipment, and the tillerman, the personnel assigned to drive ambulances on <br /> regular or rotation basis, the following annual amounts: <br /> 1987 1988 <br /> $275.00 $300.00 <br /> (c) For persons certified by the State of Indiana as a certified <br /> Emergency Medical Technician, the following annual amounts: <br /> 1987 1988 <br /> $300.00 $350.00 <br /> (d) For regularly assigned scuba divers, the following annual amounts: <br /> 1987 1988 <br /> $350.00 $450.00 <br /> (e) Sworn members performing paramedic duties will be paid the <br /> 2 <br />
