At the time of this project, it was the largest Design-Build municipal WWTP job ever awarded in the state of Ohio. The scope of the project included 4300 LF of large diameter Hobas pipe; 15,300 LF of DIP yard piping; 25,000 CY of excavated dirt/landfill/stone material; 11,000 CY of concrete placed and $5M+ worth of process equipment/piping installed. Contract Amount: $25,000,000
Water Works Improvements Phase 1, Decatur, Indiana. Guaranteed
Savings Contract
This multi-phased project improved water production for the City of Decatur, Indiana, which was facing issues from high chloride content in the ground water and a fall off in production from some wells. Phase 1 constructed a new East Side Water Treatment Plant using a conventional water softening process. This consisted of catalytic softeners, recarbonation tanks and pressure filters. This was a greenfield construction project, requiring clearing of farm fields and thickly wooded areas to create the plant site. Contract Amount: $7,250,000
Struthers Division WTP, Struthers, Ohio
Design-Build expansion of a surface water, lime softening Water
Treatment Plant for the Struthers division of our Private water client.
This project consisted of designing and constructing a new electrical
building, chemical building, a new carbonic acid contact tank and CO2
system, three new 37’ solids contact units and splitter box. A major
electrical and SCADA upgrade is also part of the project.
