BOWEN S ; <br />3) TECHNICAL APPROACH ARCADIE ST116CTUREP01NT <br />3f) American Structurepoint and Arcadis will be the engineers of record to work with the <br />selected Provider. Explain the Provider's experiences collaborating with Engineers on <br />past design build or guaranteed savings contract wastewater or combined sewer <br />overflow projects. <br />Bowen is the industry leader in Guaranteed Savings projects in Indiana. Everyone of these projects has <br />afforded Bowen the opportunity to collaborate with Owners and Engineers during the design phase. <br />Over 30% of Bowen's work since 1999 has been delivered via Alternative Delivery with preconstruction <br />collaboration with the Design Engineer. As outlined in the executive summary, Bowen and Pat <br />Stanford's successful experience working with American Structurepoint and Arcadis will contribute <br />maximum value on your project. <br />Bowen's role in GSC projects is to collaborate with the Engineer of Record in the shared mission of serving <br />the Owner's best interests. Bowen's approach to collaborative teamwork over the course of this project <br />include. <br />Design -Assist Phase <br />Project Kick-off Meeting and Partnering Session <br />• Meetings with Engineering team during conceptual/process design <br />• Provide resources to address South Bend operators' needs and questions <br />• Establishing weekly "Rhythm Calls" to discuss design progress <br />• Providing on -going design reviews looking for constructibility and value engineering opportunities <br />• Providing estimating and project controls resources for cost and schedule impact comparisons <br />• Assist in prioritizing design documents to fit schedule needs (e.g.: support of early release <br />of equipment) <br />The constructability input incorporated, and collaborative relationship developed during the design <br />development process, leads to a smooth and efficient construction process. <br />Construction Phase <br />• Active, collaborative planning for scope of work <br />• Advanced notification of any design/construction resolutions needed (no fire drills) <br />• On -going feedback with Engineering Partners for construction details refinement <br />• Daily Progress Meetings ("End of Shift Meetings") that can be attended by any team member <br />• Monthly reporting on project contingency use and project cost savings/over-runs <br />• Active, collaborative planning for commissioning and start up of new facilities <br />See our collaborative experience on the following pages. <br />
