South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Rescheduled Regular Meeting -June 25, 2008 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />A. Public Hearing <br />(1) Public Hearing on Resolution No. 2456 <br />expanding the boundaries of the Airport <br />Economic Development Area, expanding <br />the Allocation Area for purposes of tax <br />increment financing and amending the <br />Airport Economic Development Area <br />Development Plan. (Adding Portage <br />Prairie) <br />Ms. Jones reminded the audience of the <br />procedures for a public hearing. <br />Mr. Inks noted that the Public Hearing file is <br />complete, including: (1) A copy of the Notice <br />of Hearing; (2) A copy of Resolution <br />No.2456; (3) An affidavit from Carol Smith, <br />Advertising Director of the South Bend <br />Tribune, that the Notice of Hearing was <br />published in that newspaper on July 6, 2007; <br />(4) An affidavit from Richard Andrysiak, <br />Classified Manager of the Tri-County News, <br />that the Notice of Hearing was published in <br />that newspaper on June 13, 2008; (5) A <br />statement from Nicholas Witwer that on June <br />13, 2008 affected property owners and <br />registered neighborhood associations were <br />sent notice of the Public Hearing; (6) A <br />statement from Nicholas Witwer that on <br />June 13, 2008 the taxing units were sent <br />Notice of the Public Hearing; (7) As of 10:00 <br />a. m., June 25, 2008, there was one written <br />remonstrance and objection containing 76 <br />signatures and other such evidence as <br />presented related to Resolution No.2456. <br />Mr. Inks asked that the Commission consider <br />adding language to the original Resolution <br />No. 2456 consistent with the Common <br />
