Project #20115-00 <br />PART 2 - QUESTIONS <br />Question 1 <br />What is the groundcover pay item meant for? The pay item is not mentioned in the specs. <br />Answer <br />As noted on the landscape plan L1-100, groundcover is called out as Lirio e s icata. <br />Question 2 <br />Is a standard joint pattern expected for the skate pathway? <br />Answer <br />Will be provided during construction. <br />Question 3 <br />Is the intent to barricade the whole site off during Construction or just the areas we are working? <br />Is Caution tape acceptable when the paths are being built in the park? <br />Answer <br />The intent is to barricade off only the more significant excavations, such as the restroom building <br />and pavilion, <br />Question 4 <br />Per the XXII Municipal operations in the specifications, material from ALL open excavations must <br />be covered at night at the Park fenced -in area. Is Rick Brown ok with the areas open during the <br />night when the concrete areas are being prepped, or do they need to be covered with geotextile? <br />Does all the material need to be moved to the fenced -in area or just material from the EPA <br />Zones? The fenced -in area is 70ft x 35 feet. If all the material if usable for backfill is going to be <br />stored in the fenced -in area. Can the contractor set up a separate fenced -in area closer to work? <br />Answer <br />Only areas with significant excavations need to be covered. Yes, separate area fenced -in closer <br />to work is acceptable, <br />Question 5 <br />Is all excess material expected to be hauled to the Prairie View Facility as stated in the WSP <br />specifications? <br />Answer <br />Yes. <br />Question 6 <br />The lead time for the ICON Shelter is roughly 20 weeks from notice to proceed. I reached out to <br />Romtec and am still waiting to hear back about their lead time, but I contacted a pre -built shelter <br />supplier in the area, and they said they are roughly a year out on prefabricated buildings. The <br />contract is 90 days. Can an extension be made for this project? <br />Answer <br />Project extensions will be made as noted above for the scope related to these two items. <br />Question 7 <br />The plans call for the water main to be 3-inch ductile iron. Can this be upsized by the <br />contractor? <br />Answer <br />4-inch ductile is acceptable. <br />Question 8 <br />What size is the water main we are connecting to at the Charles Black Center? <br />Answer <br />Water service is called out as 4" DI on "As -Built Plans" <br />Question 9 <br />What aggregate is the sub base for the sidewalk and park improvements? Can recycled <br />concrete be used? <br />Answer <br />There is no aggregate base for sidewalks that are not expected to have heavy traffic. Where <br />applicable, recycled aggregate is acceptable. <br />Question 10 <br />The scale baron pages C1-100, C1-200, and C1-400 do not match with the scale stated in the <br />informational box. <br />Answer <br />Scales are updated. <br />Question 11 <br />Can you supply a layout for the Romtec building? <br />Answer <br />Romtec updates will be included in a future addendum. <br />Question 12 <br />On pages 21 through 23 of the specifications the building installer and building supplier supply <br />different scopes of work for the building. Can you Clarify the following scope questions? (specs <br />are in bold. The question is after spec reference.) <br />1. Rebar in wall shall be supplied by building installer. Specs state see plans for <br />spacing. Plans do not show spacing. Can you supply a layout for the concrete <br />contractor to follow? <br />2. Interior wall finish shall be latex epoxy paint supplied by Building Installer. Can <br />you supply a plan showing what paint and how each wall is coated? <br />3.
