His experience includes sampling and testing the soils to depths ranging from 5 to over 100 feet deep; performing slope stability analyses; evaluating roadways by determining the primary distresses in the pavement and suitable methods of rehabilitation. The Scioto Mile Riverfront Project is part of an overall revitalization of the area of downtown Columbus from the Arena District on the north end of downtown to the Whittier Peninsula on the south end. Design elements included construction of a landscaped embankment extending into the Scioto River, sidewalks, bike paths, the proposed Town Street Prow Area, and a café/ restroom building, performance pavilion and fountains within the reconstructed park space. During this period, Devin successfully managed several On-Call Traffic Data Collection Contracts with hundreds of individually completed assignments performed throughout Indiana. STREETSCAPE This was the firs step in the revitalization of East Columbus, providing a direct side-path connection to the downtown historical and architectural mainline. Elements included a new decorative side path, enhancements to the existing bridge over Haw Creek allowing for separated pedestrian walks along both sides of the bridge. These enhancements were accomplished through a combination of adjusting the travel lanes across the bridge and partial removal of exist- ing bridge deck and widening. Existing substructures were widened to accommodate the architectural treatments that were added. UNITED was able to complete the bridge rehabilitation without adding additional beam lines by complet- ing an analysis of the structural capacity of the existing bridge beams and determining they were adequate .
