<br />Located in South Bend, IN, Orbis Environmental Consulting provides cultural resource management,
<br />botanical, ecological and wildlife surveys and monitoring, and wetland delineation and permitting services.

<br />Archaeological Surveys (5.9) and Historical / Architectural Investigations (5.10) for INDOT. Senior staff

<br />Orbis is working with the City of Portage on Portage Creek Bicentennial Park. A Phase I archaeologi-
<br />cal survey identified the mid-19th century Elijah Root Sawmill, which is eligible for listing in the Nation-
<br />al Register of Historic Places. We created a public display of artifacts from the mill including a unique,
<br />French-made millstone. Orbis is coordinating removal the dam at the mill site to enhance the use of
<br />the waterway and nearby park and trail. Services also include archival work and historical marker

<br />noise analysis, wetland delineation, “Waters of the U.S.” evaluations, archaeological reconnaissance
<br />and Section 106 Compliance.
<br />• Indianapolis Cultural trail | City of Indianapolis, Department of Public Works | Project manager for all
<br />environmental documentation of the trailway including field investigations, Section 106 compliance,
