<br />Preventive Maintenance of Angela Boulevard Bridge <br />Over St. Joseph River January 2023 <br /> 8 <br />XVI. CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING <br /> <br />A. 2022 INDOT Standard Specification: 105.08 <br /> <br />B. Additions: <br /> <br />1. The Contractor will provide all work required under this item. <br /> <br />2. The Contractor will be responsible for witnessing the existing vertical grades <br />for bridge deck overlay requirements. <br /> <br />3. Construction Engineering will be paid for at the lump sum price bid for this <br />item and shall not exceed two (2%) percent of the total of all other bid items <br />of the original proposal. <br /> <br />4. The Contractor shall maintain at the site for the Owner, one (1) record copy <br />of all drawings, specifications, Addenda, Change Orders, and other <br />modifications in good order and marked currently to record all changes made <br />during construction. <br /> <br />5. Upon completion and Final Acceptance, As-Built drawings of all work shall <br />be provided to the County Engineer’s Office. These As-Built drawings shall <br />include specifications, addenda, Change Orders, and other modifications to <br />the project. <br /> <br />6. The Contractor shall prepare a Project Schedule to graphically show by bar <br />chart or using other computer software to reflect the order and <br />interdependence of all activities necessary to complete the Work. This <br />schedule shall reflect bridge rigid deck overlay, RCBA and sidewalk <br />replacement, surface sealing, maintenance of traffic setup, testing, surface <br />restoration, other miscellaneous items and final clean up and shall be made <br />available at the Preconstruction Meeting demonstrating how work will be <br />completed. <br /> <br />7. This project schedule shall be maintained and updated by the Contractor. An <br />updated project schedule highlighting changes or deviations shall be <br />submitted at least on a monthly basis. The schedule shall indicate actual <br />progress in percent complete for each activity and provide a written narrative <br />of revisions causing delay with an explanation of corrective actions taken or <br />proposed. <br /> <br />8. The Contractor shall not be able to make additional costs claim for <br />compressed schedule unless the delay is attributed to events or the work of <br />others beyond their control. <br /> <br />XVII. MATERIAL APPROVAL AND SYSTEM TESTING <br /> <br />A. 2022 INDOT Standard Specification: 106 <br /> <br />B. Additions: <br /> <br />1. The Contractor shall be responsible for all normal testing as specified by the <br />most current version of the INDOT Standard Specifications dated 2022 and <br />all supplements thereto.
