<br />Preventive Maintenance of Angela Boulevard Bridge <br />Over St. Joseph River January 2023 <br /> 6 <br />the Owner and the Contractor as to the classification of any day, the matter <br />shall be referred to the Engineer, whose decision shall be final. Where no <br />written record of lost time and job progress is submitted to the Engineer for <br />weekly review and Contract schedule maintenance, each day will be included <br />in computation of Contract time. <br /> <br />5. For the purposes of this Contract, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, <br />Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Saturdays, and <br />Sundays will be considered legal holidays; no other days will be so <br />considered. No engineering observation will be furnished on legal holidays <br />except in an emergency. <br /> <br />6. Legal holidays will not be included in the count of lapsed days chargeable to <br />Contract time, regardless of the fact that the work may have been done <br />thereon. <br /> <br />XIV. INSURANCE <br /> <br />A. Prevailing Specification: Attached County Insurance Requirements. <br /> <br />B. Additions: <br /> <br />1. Bidder's attention is drawn to the Insurance Provisions as set out in 103.04. <br />The named insured shall include St. Joseph County, Indiana and its agents. <br /> <br />2. Final Contract Documents will not be processed for the successful bidder <br />until all insurance policies or binders are received by the County. <br /> <br />a. The awarded bidder will be required to furnish separate Performance <br />and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent <br />(100%) of the contract price before commencing work. <br /> <br />b. The Performance Bond and Payment Bond shall remain in effect <br />throughout the entire construction period and in addition a <br />Maintenance Bond in an amount of 10% for a period of three years <br />from the date of final acceptance of work will be required. <br /> <br />3. All insurance premiums shall not be paid for separately. The cost thereof shall <br />be included in the cost of the pay items. <br /> <br />4. No work shall commence until the Contractor submits all necessary <br />paperwork. <br /> <br />XV. MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC <br /> <br /> A. 2022 INDOT Standard Specification: 104 and 801 <br /> <br />B. Additions: <br /> <br />1. The Contractor shall provide the Owner and the Engineer with the name and <br />phone number of his responsible employee during non-working hours for any <br />signage and barricade maintenance.
