Coordination with State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO), INDOT Cultural Resource Office <br />(CRO), or any local historic preservation agencies. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL DOCUMENT <br />1. Environmental documentation will be provided per the attached scope provided by SJCA, Inc. <br />TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEY <br />1. Topographic survey will be provided per the attached scope provided by DLZ. <br />DESIGN SERVICES <br />1. CONSULTANT shall prepare the design of improvements identified in the PER in accordance with the <br />Indiana Design Manual. It is anticipated the PER will recommend improvements at a maximum of 12 <br />intersection corners and 1,000 feet of sidewalk <br />2. CONSULTANT will make the following submittals: <br />a. An electronic submittal to the LPA for review and comment prior to submittal to INDOT at the <br />following milestones: <br />i. Stage 1 (25%) submittal including plans and engineer’s estimate. <br />ii. Preliminary Field Check (40%) plans and engineer’s estimate. <br />iii. Stage 3 (95%) submittal including plans, engineer’s estimate, special provisions, and <br />technical inquiries. <br />iv. Final Tracings (100%) submittal including plans, engineer’s estimate, and special <br />provisions. <br />b. An electronic submittal of all required submittal documentation will be made to INDOT via <br />ERMS and the requirements of the Indiana Design Manual at the same milestones described in <br />2.a above. <br />3. CONSULTANT shall conduct a preliminary field check meeting. <br />a. CONSULTANT will distribute a meeting invite and PFC plan set to City officials, INDOT <br />personnel, utility representatives, and other project stakeholders as identified by the LPA. <br />b. CONSULTANT will prepare and issue a summary of the PFC and will distribute within one <br />week of meeting. <br />4. CONSULTANT shall submit Technical Inquiry documentation to the INDOT Technical Advisory <br />Committee (TAC) where it is infeasible to design ADA compliant pedestrian infrastructure due to existing <br />constraints. <br />a. CONSULTANT shall design pedestrian infrastructure to be ADA compliant to the maximum <br />feasible extent. <br />b. LPA review and concurrence will be sought on all Technical Inquiries. <br />5. The following assumptions were made regarding this task. <br />a. Technical Inquiry review by the INDOT Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) will offer only <br />recommendations which require LPA approval. <br />b. Drainage design or improvements will be limited to adding or moving a stormwater inlet with an <br />outlet being readily available in the immediate area. <br />c. New retaining walls will not be required. <br />d. No Level 1 or Level 2 Design Exceptions will be required. <br />e. Geotechnical investigation will not be required. LPA will provide written approval of a <br />Geotechnical Waiver. <br />f. Pavement design will not be required. LPA will provide any require milling and overlay <br />pavement sections. <br />g. Right-of-way acquisition will not be required. <br />h. Public involvement will not be required. <br />i. Railroad coordination will not be required. <br />j. Project will involve less than one acre of disturbance and a Rule 5 permit will not be required.
