Version 6-8-2017 <br />23 <br />G.Traffic Signal Design at Voorde Drive and Bendix Drive <br />The CONSULTANT shall prepare design plans that will include traffic signal plans for the intersection <br />of Bendix Drive and Voorde Drive. <br />1.Traffic signal designs will incorporate the following: <br />a.Fully-actuated operation utilizing GridSmart vehicle detection equipment. <br />b.Pedestrian indications and APS push buttons. <br />c.Opticom emergency vehicle pre-emption equipment. <br />d.Traffic signal phase sequence to match existing operation. <br />e.INDOT standard signal mast arms and poles, with lighting arms and LED lights (at 2 corners), <br />painted black. <br />2.The CONSULTANT shall provide utility coordination for the signal service point, if required. <br />3.The CONSULTANT shall perform the services listed above to approximately 25% completion as <br />part of this agreement. It is anticipated that a supplemental agreement will be provided at a later <br />date to complete this task. <br />H.Traffic Signal Design at Lathrop Street and Bendix Drive <br />The CONSULTANT shall prepare design plans that will include traffic signal plans for the intersection <br />of Bendix Drive and Lathrop Street. <br />1.Traffic signal designs will incorporate the following: <br />a.Fully-actuated operation utilizing GridSmart vehicle detection equipment. <br />b.Pedestrian indications and APS push buttons. <br />c.Opticom emergency vehicle pre-emption equipment. <br />d.Traffic signal phase sequence will include flashing yellow arrow for northbound and <br />southbound protected/permissive movements from Bendix Drive onto Lathrop Street. <br />e.INDOT standard signal mast arms and poles, with lighting arms and LED lights (at 2 corners), <br />painted black. <br />2.The CONSULTANT shall provide utility coordination for the signal service point, if required. <br />3.The CONSULTANT shall perform the services listed above to approximately 25% completion as <br />part of this agreement. It is anticipated that a supplemental agreement will be provided at a later <br />date to complete this task. <br />I.Pavement Design <br />The CONSULTANT shall prepare a pavement design for review and approval by LPA. The <br />CONSULTANT will review the geotechnical report and design pavement sections in accordance with <br />Part 6 of the Indiana Design Manual. Pavement design will be performed using AASHTOWare <br />Pavement ME Design Software and will be documented in a memo for the LPA’s approval. It is assumed <br />the pavement design will not be reviewed/approved by INDOT <br />J.Environmental Document Preparation (NEPA) <br />1.The CONSULTANT shall perform the following base services to complete a Level 2 Categorical <br />Exclusion Environmental Study (CE) to satisfy State and Federal environmental documentation <br />requirements. The environmental compliance services shall consist of the following work elements: <br />a.Project Management: This task includes all file management, subconsultant management, <br />review of project budget, and general project management activities associated with the <br />preparation of the CE document.
