Work associated with pipe trench dewatering should be in conformance with the <br />special provision noted elsewhere for Dewatering. <br /> <br />6. Other pipe installations shall be backfilled as shown on the plans or as directed. Prio r to and during <br />placement of bedding material and backfill, all standing water shall be removed from the trench. <br /> <br />7. An adequate earth cover shall be placed over the structure before heavy equipment is driven over <br />it. <br /> <br />8. This work will be measured in accordance with Section 715.13 of the INDOT Specifications, except <br />trench excavation, backfill material, trench backfilling, pipe bedding, aggregate for pipe bedding, <br />and excavation trench safety systems shall not be measured directly, but shall be included in the <br />unit cost of the various other pay items. <br /> <br />9. Where indicated on the plans or as required, a concrete saddle shall be provided for support of <br />utility lines that have a clearance of 0.5-foot or less. Payment for the concrete saddles, as required, <br />shall be incidental to the project. <br /> <br />10. Measurement and Payment <br /> <br />a.
