CITY OF SOUTH BEND 1 HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />Upon a motion by Patrick Deegan, seconded by David Wyncott, and unanimously carried by vote, <br />the Historic Preservation Commission APPROVES Certificate of Appropriateness Application <br />#2021-1101. <br />Vote: 8-0. Eight in favor, none opposed <br />COA#2021-1101 is approved. <br />iv. 2021-1101A 834 Forest Avenue Chapin Park LHD, Ordinance #9574-05 <br />(Audio Position: 2:02:42) <br />The staff report was presented by Adam Toering. <br />Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends separating the project into multiple components: <br />COA 2021-1101A-1 Dining Room Windows —Staff recommends approval —the windows were <br />deteriorated beyond repair. <br />COA 2021-1101A-2 Replace Remaining Windows — Staff recommends denial. Restoration or <br />alteration of serviceable windows should be investigated. Where new window sizes are desired, <br />existing windows should be reconfigured and used.
