Cola and Pepsi America. After discussing with staff,he recommended that the agreement be <br /> awarded to Coca-Cola. Attorney Greene said that she felt the recommendation was consistent with <br /> state law. <br /> Mr. BonDurant made a motion to award the three year agreement to Coca-Cola. Ms. Hill <br /> seconded the motion and it was passed. <br /> V. The next order of business was new business. <br /> 1. Angel of Hope MOU <br /> Ms. Greene explained that the MOU would formalize responsibilities at the memorial in <br /> Pinhook Park. She recommended that if the Board was inclined to approve it,that they do <br /> so with the understanding that additional language would be included in the MOU to be <br /> consistent with current City agreements. She said she would update the MOU. <br /> Ms. Hill made a motion to approve the memorandum of agreement subject additional <br /> language to be inserted to be consistent with City policy. Mr. Mullins seconded the motion <br /> and it was passed. <br /> VL Approval of Minutes <br /> Mr. Mullins made a motion to approve the minutes of the regular Board meeting held on <br /> October 22, 2012 as mailed. The motion was seconded by Ms. Hill and approved. <br /> VII. Approval of Maintenance Vouchers <br /> A motion was made by Ms. Hill to approve maintenance vouchers for October 2012 totaling <br /> $985,441.42. <br /> It was seconded by Mr. Mullins. There being no further discussion,the motion was passed. <br /> VIII. Comments Sharon Smith,Food and Beverage Manager at Potawatomi Zoo <br /> 1. Ms. Smith was giving a report for Ms. Arriaga. She informed the Board that attendance at <br /> Zoo Boo was down due to the weather by 3,400. <br /> 2. Overall Zoo attendance is up for the year by 5,300. <br /> 3. The new snow leopard from Philadelphia Zoo has arrived. <br /> 4. One of our chimps was returned to the Los Angeles Zoo. A female chimp from Busch <br /> Gardens will be arriving soon. <br /> 5. The education department will be getting a short tailed possum for use in programs. <br /> 6. A Diana Monkey was born last Monday. This is the second birth of this species of <br /> monkey at our zoo which is hard to breed in captivity. <br /> 7. The new red panda has arrived and is in quarantine. <br /> IX. Comments by the Maintenance Superintendent <br /> 1. Mr. Dyszkiewicz commented that he has quotes for the repair of the greenhouse <br /> growing house that was mentioned earlier and they total about $7,000. Additionally,he <br /> has quotes for sealing leaking windows in the main conservatory of$3,500.He said he <br /> would be working with Ms. Stewart. <br /> 2. Leaf pick up is under way. <br /> - - 2 - - <br />
