9 <br />The Board met in regular session. at 10 A. M. Mr. Papczynski absent. <br />Petition filed for the vacation of part of Harlins Sub -Division of Bank Out Lot <br />82. Referred to the Engineer. <br />Clerk & City Sealer instructed to advertise for bids for a public scale to be <br />installed at the rear of the Central Fire Station. Bids to be received up to 10 a. m. <br />on the 20th day of January, 1906. <br />AGREEMENT WITH STUDEBAKER---- HOWARD PARK FOUNTAIN. <br />Confirming an informal agreement heretofore made between J. M. Studebaker, party <br />of the first part,_ and the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, party of the <br />second part, said agreement being ,as; fellows <br />J. M. Studebaker is to pr4sent freeHof all charges to the city of South Bend an <br />electric fountain to be erected by the donor in Howard Park. The same is to be setup, <br />fully completed, and all connections made,.in good running order, fully without cost to <br />the City of South Bend. <br />On the part of the city the Board of Public Works promises to keep the fountain and <br />its connections, including the electrical apparatus, in proper running order and good <br />repair. The use of the fountain and the exhibitions of the electrical display'to be <br />wholly within the province and direction of the Board of Public Works. <br />Witness our hands this 6th day of January, 106. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />by W.
