<br />Page 4 of 42 <br />iii. Replacement of burned-out signal bulbs; <br />iv. Load relays or switches; <br />v. Malfunction management units (i.e., conflict monitor); <br />vi. All equipment comprising interconnect systems; <br />vii. Optically programmable signal indications; <br />viii. Traffic accidents; <br />ix. Vandalism; <br />x. Storm or other damage prescribed as an act of God; and <br />xi. All repairs not considered Scheduled Preventative Maintenance, as defined <br />below. <br />B. Scheduled Preventative Maintenance. “Scheduled Preventative Maintenance” shall <br />consist of bi-annual (twice per calendar year) visits to all signals and annual visits to all <br />flashers listed on Exhibit A of this Agreement; all work noted on the Signal Preventative <br />Maintenance Checklist, attached and incorporated herein by reference as Exhibit C, or the <br />Flasher Preventative Maintenance Checklist, attached and incorporated by reference as <br />Exhibit D, shall be conducted on each signal or flasher, along with other work described <br />below. <br />2.2 NON-SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES. Non-Scheduled Maintenance <br />shall be performed by the CITY upon existing traffic signals as listed on Exhibit A and any others <br />which may be installed or taken over by INDOT during the effective period of this Agreement. <br />A. Procedures. Procedures for maintenance will include: <br />i. The investigation of any customer service requests from INDOT’s Traffic <br />Signal Supervisor or Traffic Operations Manager, and when issues are found, <br />the correction of that issue. <br />ii. A response time of two (2) hours or less after calls are received for <br />malfunctioning traffic signals. <br />iii. The removal of all malfunctioning parts and replacement with new or <br />reconditioned parts to restore proper functioning, except for emergency vehicle <br />preemption equipment. Emergency vehicle preemption equipment, causing the <br />traffic signal to malfunction, shall be disconnected from the controller only, <br />and the CITY shall contact INDOT.
