The Contractor shall take diligent care to protect the public, the workers, streets, sidewalks, and <br />adjacent public and private property from the hazards of any tree removal and stump removal <br />operations. <br />5. Prevailing Specifications: 2020, INDOT Standard Specification Section 203, City Std. Spec. Section 7 <br />B. Additions: <br /> <br />1. This Pay Item shall include the earthwork needed to excavate, haul and dispose of all material <br />not being removed under some other Pay Item which is encountered within the limits of the work <br />to complete the Project to the proposed finished grades indicated on the Plans. <br />2. Excavation and disposal of silt and debris deposited in the work area shall not be measured <br />directly but shall be included in the unclassified excavation Pay Item. <br />3. All material excavated within the perimeter of the fence surrounding the existing pond shall be <br />considered unclassified excavation, without consideration of material consistency or water <br />content. <br />4. Proposed grades shown on the Plans within the fenced pond area are to be verified by the <br />Contractor as finished grades after the sewer cleaning operation and topsoil placement is <br />complete. The fenced pond area may be used as a temporary area of debris collection from <br />sewer cleaning operations, but the addition of water or debris to the pond area shall not entitle the <br />Contractor to additional payment for earthwork operations. <br />5. Payment will be made under: <br />Pay Item Pay Unit <br />Excavation, Unclassified LS <br /> <br />XXVI. STORMWATER MANAGEMENT <br /> <br />A. Prevailing Specifications: 2020, INDOT Standard Specifications Section 205, City Std. Spec. Section <br />7, City Std Drawings 7-1 and 7-7. <br />B. Additions: <br /> <br />1. Erosion Control Blanket (ECB) shall be provided at the locations shown on the Plans after the <br />finished grade has been topsoiled and seeded. <br />2. ECB shall be North American Green (NAG) SC-150, or approved equivalent. <br />3. ECB shall be securely anchored to the ground using staples or Engineer approved equivalent <br />method at intervals as recommended by the manufacturer. <br />4. Cost of all labor and materials, including required ECB anchoring mechanisms shall be included in <br />the cost of the respective Pay Items. <br />5. Geotextile fabric below the Temporary Construction Entrance shall not be measured or paid for <br />directly but shall be included in the cost of the No. 2 Stone. <br />6. A 10-foot width shall be allowed for the project. <br />7.
