<br />Version 2/14/2020 Page - 9 Public Works Quote <br />XXI. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />A. Prevailing Specifications: 2020, INDOT Standard Specifications Section 104.02 <br />B. Additions: <br /> <br />1. The Bidder shall verify existing site conditions prior to Bid/Quote submission to preclude a stoppage <br />of work due to “Differing Site Conditions”. <br />2. The Contractor shall take special care to protect existing facilities adjacent to the limits of the active <br />work areas shown on the Plans. Any scope required to repair existing curb, sidewalk, pavement, <br />or other items not indicated for removal on the Plans that are damaged by the Contractor shall be <br />repaired by the Contractor but shall be considered incidental to the work and not paid for directly. <br /> <br />XXII. PRECONSTRUCTION CONFERENCE <br /> <br />A. Prevailing Specifications: None <br />B. Additions: <br /> <br />1. After quote award and prior to the initiation of work at the site, the Contractor and Owner shall hold <br />a Preconstruction Conference. <br />2. In addition to any other documentation required by the Owner, the selected Contractor shall submit <br />the following information to the City prior to the Preconstruction Conference: <br />a. Prior to the start of any Work under this project, Contractor shall make available to Owner all <br />equipment that is to be utilized in the execution of this contract. Owner will hold a <br />preconstruction conference at which the sequence of work, methods, inspection, and <br />monitoring requirements and debris disposal shall be discussed. <br />b. Designated personnel shall be field certified NASSCO (National Association of Sewer Service <br />Companies) technicians certified by passing the three-day Pipeline Assessment and <br />Certification Program. Contractor shall submit documentation of certifications of all staff to be <br />assigned to the project. <br />c. A description of the method used to prevent passage of debris to downstream sewers. <br />d. A description of the method of disposal of sewer pipe cleaning debris. <br />e. Equipment storage location for off-hours and weekends. <br />f. Construction dewatering process, equipment and plan <br />g. Documentation on any chemicals anticipated to be used on the project, including at a minimum, <br />material safety data sheets. <br />h. Phone numbers of the personnel used for emergency and off-hours inquiries or calls. <br /> <br />XXIII. MOBILIZATION AND DEMOBILIZATION <br /> <br />A. Payment will be made under: <br />Pay Item Pay Unit <br />Mobilization and Demobilization LS <br /> <br />XXIV. CLEARING OPERATIONS <br /> <br />A. Prevailing Specifications: 2020, INDOT Standard Specifications Section 201 <br />B. Additions: <br /> <br />1. “Clearing and Grubbing” shall consist of clearing, grubbing, removing and disposing of all <br />vegetation, debris and other man-made materials required to perform the work indicated in the <br />Plans and Contract Documents, but not specifically paid for otherwise. <br />2. This Pay Item shall include the removal of all trees and grinding of stumps within the perimeter of <br />the existing fenced pond area which are not otherwise designated on the Plans to be preserved. <br />3. Disposal of debris resulting from clearing or removal operations shall be at an off-site area, <br />provided by the Contractor and approved by the Owner. No debris shall be left overnight.
