0 a The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. All members present. Contract signed with L. Chelminiak for the painting of the Leeper Bridge. All further action, on the matter of the widening of Dinan avenue under Condemnation Resolution No. 19 adopted on the 29th day of Apri12 1905.Resdinded. Remonstrance filed by Albert F. Alward against the matter of the assessments on the., opening of William street. Hearing on the matter of awards and damages for the opening of William street under Condemnation Resolution No. 19, held over until Tuesday evening May 9th7 1905, at 7:15 P. I+I. Contracts were awarded for the following Brick Pavements, - Vistula avenue . Nelsonville Block James Nelson. Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That, an improvement.be made of the kind., size, location and terminal points as follows: The grading of Portage avenue from Viaduct over the I. I: & I. R. R. to the City limits. Said improvement sahll be known and designated as THE PORTAGE AVENUE GRADE IMPROVEMENT and -shall be constructed according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of this resolution shall bepublished on the 3ed day of May and on the loth day of May, 1905, in the South Bend Daily Times. This Board will give a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City Hall on the 16th day of May, 1905, at 7:15 P. M. BOARD OF PUBLIC -WORKS. Adopted this 29th day of April, 1905. Said improvement shall be known and designated as THE MARIETTA STREET GRADE & CURB and shall be constructed according to the plans and specifications pre- pared by the City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 3rd day of May and on the loth day of May, 1905, in the South Bend Daily Times.
