<br /> <br /> <br />4.Request to Appoint Appraisers- Tom Bodnar <br />Mr. Bodnar requested Director St. Clair be given authority to appoint two appraisers to <br />appraise the land in question regarding the request by Charles Hayes, Inc. to install a cell <br />tower. He explained this does not obligate the City in any way, but is the first step in <br />exploring the request. After the appraisal is done a public hearing would be needed to <br />make a decision. President Henry asked if the appraisal would be done at the expense of <br />Charles Hayes, Inc. Mr. Bodnar said that could be requested. <br />Mr. Goodrich made a motion to give Director St. Clair the authority to appoint two <br />appraisers to secure appraisals for the parcel in question without obligating the Park <br />Board in any way. Dr. Kelly seconded the motion and it was passed. <br /> <br /> <br />IV.The next order of business was new business. <br /> <br />1. Arborist License Renewals- <br />The following license application was presented for approval by the Board: <br />a. Peek’s Tree Experts <br /> b. Underly Tree Service <br />Mr. Mullins made a motion to accept the renewals of the Arborist Licenses and Dr. Kelly <br />seconded the motion. It was passed <br />2. Requests for Use of Parks- <br />Ms. Harriman requested the Board approve the following requests: <br />a. Easter Egg Hunt - Memorial - March 22nd. <br />th <br />b. American Heart Walk - Leeper – October 25 <br /> <br />c. Juneteenth Celebration - June 13, 14 and 15th - LaSalle Park <br />She stated that all were returning events and all are aware of the insurance requirements. <br />She recommended approval of all requests. <br />Dr. Kelly made the motion to approve the above requests and it was seconded by Mr. <br />Mullins. The motion was approved. <br /> <br />3.Odor Control Project at Leeper Park- Carl Littrell <br />Mr. Littrell, City Engineer, requested that an odor control facility be located in Leeper <br />Park. It would mitigate odors from several sewer pipes that converge in the area. It <br />would consist of a biological filter that is concealed in a flower bed. It would need to be <br />replaced every 3-5 years. The Parks Department would maintain the flower bed in the <br />meantime. He will be meeting with the Historic Preservation to update them on this <br />project tonight. <br />Mr. Goodrich made a motion to approve the request for Public Works to move forward <br />with the odor control project in Leeper Park. Dr. Kelly seconded the motion and it was <br />passed. <br /> <br /> <br />V.Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich made a motion to approve the minutes of the regular Board meeting held on <br /> - - 3 - - <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
