<br />needs to be finished in time for the reaccreditation in June 2009. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />III.The next order of business was unfinished business. <br /> <br /> <br />1.Opening of Leeper Park Tennis Center Roof Quotes- Mike Dyszkiewicz <br />Mr. Dyszkiewicz presented three sealed quotes for replacement of the roof at the Leeper <br />Tennis Center. They were opened and inspected by Mr. Bodnar. They were read aloud as <br />follows: <br /> <br />a.KRC Roofing and Sheet Metal, Inc.- $57,400 <br /> <br />b.Dudek Roofing and Sheet Metal, Inc.- $63,900 <br /> <br />c.Midland Engineering- $47,262 <br />Mr. Dyszkiewicz requested that he look over the quotes and return later in the meeting for <br />awarding. President Henry agreed. <br /> <br />2.Opening of Howard Park lighting Quotes- Betsy Harriman <br />Ms. Harriman presented two sealed quotes for the installation of lighting in Howard Park. <br /> Three vendors were solicited, but Koontz-Wagner did not respond. The two quotes were <br />opened and inspected by Mr. Bodnar. They were read aloud as follows: <br /> <br />a.Garmin Electric- $76,850 <br /> <br />b.Trans Tech Electric- $69,785 <br />Ms. Harriman requested she be allowed to review the quotes and come back later in the <br />meeting for award. President Henry granted her request. <br /> <br />3.Opening of Chemical and Fertilizer Bids- Randy Nowacki <br />Mr. Nowacki submitted four sealed bids. They were opened and inspected by Mr. Bodnar <br />and all contained the necessary bid requirements, except Lesco. They did not have a bid <br />bond enclosed. A notation stated that the bid bond would come under separate cover. It <br />was determined by the Board that the bidder did not receive an advantage by not including <br />the bid bond. <br />Mr. Goodrich made a motion to accept Lesco’s bid contingent on the bid bond being <br />received by Wednesday March 19 by noon at the O’Brien Park Office. Dr. Kelly seconded <br />the motion and it was passed. <br /> The first and last item of each bid was read aloud. They were as follows: <br /> a. Helena Chemical- Assist, $22/gal <br /> Turfcide 400, $25/gal <br /> b. Lesco- Assist, $642/30 gal ($21.40/gal) <br /> Turfcide 400 Flow, $156.03/ 2x 2.5 gal <br /> c. Advanced Turf Solutions- Banner Max, $338/2 x 1 gal <br /> Trimmit 2SC, $325/gal <br /> d. Turf Specialties- Assist, $12.25/gal (120 gal bulk tank) <br /> Turfcide 400 Flow, $140/ 2 x 2.5 gal <br />Mr. Nowacki requested he be allowed to take the bids under review and return at the next <br />meeting with his recommendations. <br />Dr. Kelly made the motion to refer the bids to staff for review and to return at the next <br />meeting with recommendations. Mr. Mullins seconded the motion and it was passed. <br /> - - 2 - - <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
