Democracy Project and Political Science Club held events for the election. There was a debriefing <br />for students to express their feelings, which went over well. The Active Minds organization is <br />working on mental health awareness events as they get closer to finals. They are checking in with <br />student affairs to work on ways to improve the compliance rate concerning testing. She shared <br />they continue to work on communication, social distancing, and following guidelines as well as <br />staying mentally and physically healthy. They will be promoting a survey with the Chancellor <br />about the supportive services available to students, such as the food pantry, health and wellness, <br />and counseling. <br />Chair Tomas -Morgan opened the floor for discussion. <br />Chair Tomas -Morgan had the first (I") question, asking the campuses to share the percentage <br />increase of students moving off campus this last semester. <br />Holy Cross shared they didn't see much change. They were around ninety-five percent (95%) full. <br />They didn't make many changes due to feeling their campus stayed safe and never ran out of <br />isolation space. <br />Saint Mary's shared they were at capacity. They had a few immune -compromised students who <br />wanted to do remote learning, but otherwise, they were at capacity. <br />Notre Dame stated they had a few more living off -campus and stopped the study abroad program. <br />There was not a significant change in the number of students living on campus. <br />Chair Tomas -Morgan proceeded to ask what the campuses' NAIA regulations are and will the <br />games be open to the public. <br />Holy Cross replied the games would have one (1) or two (2) guests per player for the home team. <br />Then the game will be filled with Tri-Community members but not open to the public. <br />Chair Tomas -Morgan asked if any other campus would like to speak to the winter athletic :set-up <br />on their campuses. <br />Saint Mary's said they are closed to the public; just students may attend the games. Also, they <br />would only be playing teams within their conference, and the games will be live -streamed. <br />Notre Dame stated they were working on some new seating arrangements and will not be open to <br />the full public. They have Hockey games this weekend, and the athletic team is working closely <br />with Dr. Fox concerning whom may attend. Notre Dame is a member of the Big Ten and needs to <br />follow the conference rules. <br />IUSB shared that none of their basketball games will be open to the public. <br />Myron Laromer, with South Bend Realtors, 1357 Northside Blvd, South Bend, IN, asked, did the <br />price of houses increasing and the shortage of homes impact student housing cost this year. <br />Notre Dame shared they had not heard of pricing increases or any concerns with rental prices. <br />Leah Kaczinski student at Notre Dame stated she hadn't heard any complaints concerning price <br />increases for student living. <br />
