8.0 INTERIOR PATIENT COMPARTMENT COMPONENTS Patient Compartment Sound Levels: This vehicle shall provide an interior working environment in which the ambient noise level is less than 80 dB as measured according to AMD Standard 006, Sound Level Test Code for Ambulance Compartment Interiors. Patient Compartment Carbon Monoxide Levels: This vehicle shall provide an interior working environment in which the carbon monoxide level is less than 10 ppm as measured in accordance with AMD Standard 007, Carbon Monoxide Levels for Ambulance Compartment Interiors. Y N 8.1 CABINET GLASS All cabinet doors incorporating acrylic glass, as sliding or hinged windows shall have .250" thick smoked acrylic Plexiglas® as the standard material and 3/8" where otherwise specified. 8.2 STAINLESS STEEL ROUND LATCHES Stainless Steel Round Southco locking latches (or equal) shall be provided on each door where applicable. Y N 8.3 CABINETRY The cabinetry in the patient compartment shall have picture framed window face fronts fabricated from lightweight smooth aluminum material and laminated with a minimum .028" Formica (or approved equal). The shelves and the supporting structure shall be non -wood material and laminated with a minimum of .028" Formica on both sides. Non -supportive partitions shall be lightweight smooth aluminum material and laminated with a minimum of .028" Formica on both sides. All vertical outside corners and protruding edges of overhead storage shall be capped with 5" radius satin finish anodized aluminum moldings or padded vinyl. All cabinetry shall be sealed and molded to the floor with bright -anodized aluminum molding. All interior materials, cabinetry, vinyl, foam, and installation used shall meet or exceed FMVSS 302 requirements on flammability of interior materials (where applicable). X/ Y (� N 8.4 COUNTERTOPS The countertop in the primary action area of the patient compartment shall be non - wood material, laminated with a minimum .028" stainless steel. The top shall be a pan style with all seams sealed.
