City of South Bend Central Services Division <br />Fire Service, Inc./Wheeled Coach Ambulance <br />Specification <br />Chevron pattern shall be applied to rear facing corner panels and rear door header <br />only. Do not install on rear doors. <br />ROOF TOP MARKINGS <br />A "Star of Life" of not less that 32 inches and conforming to KKK-1822F section <br />3.16.4.0 shall be installed on the ambulance rooftop. <br />ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS AND COMPONENTS <br />The emergency medical vehicle's electrical system must meet KKK-A-1822-F <br />Section 3.7.1. This agency will specify systems, components, materials, and <br />production methods within this section. However, a failures can occur whether the <br />vehicle is under warranty or outside the warranty parameters. This agency <br />operates the vehicle on a twenty four hours a day, seven day a week (24/7) basis. <br />Therefore, the primary manufacturer will provide a local service facility during <br />regular business hours and a 24/7 support service staffed by trained technicians to <br />assist this agency. <br />The driver and patient compartment control consoles shall be constructed in a way <br />that the switches and any gauges are easily serviced. They shall be accessible <br />through service panels. These panels will be secured in the closed position in a <br />positive manner, yet can be easily opened for service. <br />5V-10-0050 <br />The control console gauges shall be internally illuminated and controlled by the <br />headlight switch rheostat. All lights and fixtures installed on the module exterior <br />shall have a corrosion inhibitor applied to all mounting holes prior to installation. <br />The driver and patient console shall incorporate full size "Euro-Style" rocker <br />switches.
