2021 International MV/PL Custom Titan 170 <br />Type I Ambulance Proposal Specification <br /> <br /> <br />A5347-0002 11/05/20 <br />15 <br /> <br />ADDITIONAL EXTERIOR: <br />UNDERCOAT: <br /> <br />The underside of the modular body, including frame members, compartment lower panels and the outsides of the entire <br />compartment walls and top shall be undercoated with AudioGuard ® Acoustical Coating P8060. The material shall be <br />applied prior to the body being mounted to the chassis to ensure maximum coverage. Material application will be evenly <br />sprayed to a minimum of 40 mils under body and compartments and 80-100 mils in the wheel box and stepwell areas. <br /> <br />After the body has been mounted to the chassis 40 mils of AudioGuard ® material will be applied under the cab and to the <br />body aluminum sub floor with the exception of areas near the exhaust and other heat generating components per the <br />guidelines of Ford QVM. <br /> <br />AUDIOGUARD® ACOUSTIC COATINGS P8060 is a one-component, waterborne, sprayable, coating designed to <br />reduce structure-borne vibrations and associated sound transmission. The characteristics of the coating provide a <br />tough material that can prevent chipping, cracking or marring of painted or unpainted surfaces. The coating is useful <br />wherever a reduction in airborne noise is desired. <br /> <br /> <br />EXTERIOR BODY WINDOWS <br /> <br /> SLIDING SIDE DOOR WINDOW: <br /> <br />A Transportation Products, Inc. 18"W x 22"H window shall be installed in the side entrance door. It shall have sliding, 31% <br />tinted automotive safety glass and be mounted within an aluminum black anodized frame. T he window shall be completely <br />sealed and held to the door via an inside clamp ring which matches the exterior of the window. The window shall <br />incorporate a sliding removable screen. <br /> <br />FIXED REAR DOOR WINDOWS: <br /> <br />Two (2) Transportation Products, Inc.15"W x 22"H windows shall be installed in the rear entrance doors. They shall have <br />fixed automotive 31% tinted safety glass and be mounted with an aluminum black anodized frame. The windows shall be <br />completely sealed and held to the door via an inside clamp ring, which matches the exterior of the window. <br /> <br />RIGHT SIDE FIXED BODY WINDOW: <br /> <br />A Transportation Products, Inc. 18"w x 22"H window shall be installed in the right side body panel. It shall have a fixed <br />31% tinted automotive safety glass and be mounted within an aluminum black anodized frame. The window shall be <br />completely sealed and held in the body via an inside clamp ring which matches the exterior of the window. <br /> <br /> <br />INTERIOR MODULAR BODY CONSTRUCTION TYPE <br /> <br />STANDARD CABINET CONSTRUCTION: <br /> <br />The interior cabinets of the vehicle shall be completely constructed of 3/4" and 1/2" premium grade, cabinet birch plywood <br />and in non-stress areas 1/4" plywood. <br />Assembly of the cabinets shall be with 1 ¼ inch #8 zinc screws through ½ inch plywood and 1 ½ i nch through ¾ inch <br />plywood. 1¼ staples are utilized for both applications. ¾ inch staples are utilized for ¼ plywood. The staples are spaced <br />approximately 2 inches apart and the screws should be 6-8 inches apart. All wood to wood joints are glued.
