test shall be performed using nitrogen gas to purge the lines of all moisture and <br />foreign debris. Upon completion of the test, the lines shall be bled free of nitrogen <br />and capped. This medical oxygen system shall meet or exceed AMD Standard 015, <br />Ambulance Main Oxygen System Test. <br />24.0.1 The oxygen system shall have three (3) outlets, (2) on action area wall and (1) <br />over squad bench. The department shall specify the brand of quick connectors to be <br />used. A compartment shall have fully adjustable stainless -steel rings for the 02 <br />tank. The rings shall be located in the front of the compartment (tank will be <br />provided by the department). <br />24.0.2 Oxygen outlets to be Cemtron/NCG brand <br />24.0.3 One (1) gravity type Thorpe tube oxygen flow meter shall be provided. This <br />flow meter shall be certified by the equipment manufacturer to meet the appropriate <br />FDA standards for medical oxygen flow meters. <br />24.1 REGULATOR <br />A 50-psi preset medical oxygen regulator shall be provided and installed on the <br />supply end of the oxygen system hose. This regulator shall be certified by the <br />equipment manufacturer to meet the appropriate FDA standards for medical oxygen <br />flow meters. <br />24.2 OXYGEN CONTENT GAUGE <br />A digital oxygen content gauge with an alarm shall be provided and wired to the <br />rotary timer. <br />24.3 CARBON MONOXIDE MONITOR <br />A carbon monoxide monitor with an alarm shall be provided and installed in the <br />action area, within the patient compartment. <br />24.4 ELECTRIC OXYGEN SHUT OFF <br />An electric shut off switch for the oxygen system shall be provided and installed in <br />the rear action area switch panel. The system shall include a manual bypass. <br />24.5 PORTABLE/ ONBOARD SUCTION AND ASPIRATION SYSTEM <br />A portable/onboard, complete self-contained S-SCORT VX-2 dual mode unit with <br />battery charger shall be installed on the primary action area wall. It shall include a <br />charging retention bracket hard -wired to 12 VDC power. A 1,200-cc suction canister, <br />6' suction tubing, and suction tip shall be supplied with unit. <br />24.6 SHARPS/BIO-HAZARD <br />A sharps container with a crash stable mounting bracket shall be supplied and <br />shipped loose.
