point threaded adjustment mechanism. Systems operated by cables are <br />unacceptable due to the tendency of cable to stretch or fatigue prematurely. The <br />latch and the Nader pin shall be mounted so as not to interrupt the continuous door <br />seal. A .437” hole shall be drilled into the edge of each door adjacent to the paddle <br />handle. This lubrication access shall be sealed with a removable plastic cap for <br />protection of the internal mechanism. <br /> Y___N___ <br /> <br />7.3 EXTERIOR OXYGEN COMPARTMENT VENT <br /> <br />One (1) #1031 Cast Products, polished aluminum exterior oxygen compartment vent <br />(or equal) shall be provided and installed on the door of the exterior compartment <br />that houses the oxygen tank retention system. The vent hole shall be 3” in diameter <br />and provide adequate ventilation for gaseous oxygen should a leak occur. A black <br />plastic vent shall be provided and installed on the interior door liner covering the vent <br />hole to protect it from intrusion by the elements when the door is open. <br /> Y___N___ <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />7.4 DRI-DECK <br /> <br />The floor and shelf of each exterior compartment shall be covered with Dri-Deck (or <br />equal) material that shall be black in color with a safety yellow tapered edge for the <br />outer edge of each compartment floor. <br /> Y___N___ <br />7.5 DOOR GRABBERS <br /> <br />A set of door Cast Products "Grabbers" (or equal) shall be provided at the bottom of <br />the rear doors. They shall be fastened to the door and door frame with self-locking <br />stainless-steel screws. <br /> Y___N___ <br />7.6 DOOR SEALS <br /> <br />For optimum fit and closure, the compartment and patient entry doors shall close on <br />a .625” W x .400” thick automotive, closed cell EDPM rubber gasket adhered to first <br />interior surface of the double pan-formed compartment doors. The gasket seal shall <br />be located on this surface to prevent exposure of the rotary latch mechanism to <br />water or dirt when the door is closed. <br /> Y___N___ <br />7.8 POWER DOOR LOCK SYSTEM-ALL PATIENT AND COMPARTMENT DOORS <br /> <br />The rear patient entry doors and side entry/egress door, along with all exterior <br />compartment doors and exterior ALS door, shall be equipped with a power locks. <br /> Y___N___ <br />7.9 POWER DOOR LOCK SWITCHES <br /> <br />One (1) exterior power door lock switch with a rubber weather boot shall be provided <br />and installed in rear license plate bezel hidden from obvious view. It shall be in <br />addition to the switch installed in the cab to control the power door locks installed on <br />designated compartment doors. <br /> Y___N___ <br />7.9.1 Two (2) additional power door lock switches shall be provided and installed in <br />the patient compartment.
