The patient compartment access door shall have a full aluminum diamond plate step <br />well. The step well must have a full 18"deep step which allows for easy entry and <br />egress, a 9" high riser and be 32" wide to match the width of the side entry patient <br />compartment door. The step well shall be formed entirely from fire grade aluminum <br />diamond plate which is fully seam -welded into the body at the step well area. <br />Y N <br />6.17 SIDE ENTRY DOORSTEP <br />A double step shall be constructed of aluminum diamond plate and shall be reinforced. <br />It will be at least 32" wide and shall allow easy entry and egress. <br />Y N <br />6.18 DOOR TRIM <br />The door shall have a .090" aluminum panel covering the upper and lower door and <br />full width door panel with .028" Formica, with color to match interior and shall be <br />impervious to moisture, easily cleaned, durable, and attractive. The middle and <br />lower portion shall be stainless steel and removable for ease of maintenance. <br />Y N <br />6.18.1 GLOVEBOX <br />Three (3) glove boxes shall be provided directly above the side entry/egress door. It <br />shall have approximate dimensions of 20" wide x 9" high and shall have three (3) flip - <br />up Plexiglas doors with non -locking catches for easy access. <br />6.19 STEPWELL LIGHT <br />Two (2) LED lights shall be provided for the curb sidestep well. The lights shall be <br />mounted on an angled bracket one (1) over each step and shall activate with the <br />opening of the side entry door. <br />Y N <br />6.19.1 The side entry/egress entrance door shall have a 1.5" diameter polished <br />stainless steel 90-degree ergonomic style assist handle. <br />Y N <br />6.20 REAR OF WHEELWELL — P5 <br />A full height compartment (P5) shall be provided in the rearward area behind the rear <br />wheel well. It shall have the approximate dimensions as follows: <br />21" wide x 84" high <br />Y N <br />6.20.1 The P5 compartment shall have a solid, flush mounted, vertically hinged door, <br />constructed of aluminum. <br />Y N <br />6.21 REAR PATIENT ENTRY DOORS <br />Each patient entrance door shall be constructed of .125" aluminum sheet box formed <br />with a double return bend of 2.75" total thickness.
