The light will be mounted above the action area. <br /> <br />UPHOLSTERY MATERIALS: All padding and upholstered seating will be covered in 36 ounce vacuum form <br />ready vinyl. Sewn seams in the seat covers and cushions will be minimized. Upon request, the manufacturer <br />will be capable of supplying vacuum formed, seamless vinyl covered upholstery. The color will be color keyed <br />to the laminate color selections made. <br /> <br />SEAT / BACKREST CORE MATERIAL: The vinyl covered foam will meet current Federal Specification KKK-A- <br />1822. Seat cushions will be ergonomically contoured. All core material will be open cell, high resilience <br />foam. <br /> <br />UPHOLSTERY COLOR: All padding and upholstered seating will be covered in 56-ounce vacuum form ready vinyl <br />per the specification. The color of the vinyl will be Gunmetal Dark Gray. <br /> <br />TROUGH COVER: All upholstered pad that is built to cover the trough running down the center line of the <br />vehicle separating the curbside and streetside of the patient compartment will be manufactured of 1/4" luan <br />non voided plywood with padding and covered with 36 ounce vinyl. The color of the vinyl will be the same as <br />the remainder of the upholstery in the patient area. The cover will be fastened to the headliner using stainless <br />steel screws with washers that will accept button covers that are color matched to the trough cover. <br /> <br />UPHOLSTERY JOINERY TYPE: All padding and upholstered seating will feature upholstery covered foam that <br />eliminates sewn, visible seams. All cushion corners will be vinyl wrapped. NO sewn seams are permitted, even <br />at the corners. Seat cushion vinyl will be pre-formed to the cushion shape to eliminate ALL visible seams. Seat <br />cushions with welting/piping and sewn corner seams are not acceptable since blood and other liquid form <br />biological discharge can penetrate the seam holes and reside in the foam. All vinyl surfaces will be pulled tight <br />against the foam, utilizing a hardwood plywood backing board. Loose fitting vinyl coverings are not <br />acceptable. <br /> <br />FULL CUSHIONS: The post and wheel cups normally placed on the squad bench for secondary stretchers will <br />be DELETED in favor of full seat cushions without cutouts. The seat cushions will be the same size as the squad <br />bench lid and WITHOUT cutouts. The user chooses to use a backboard in lieu of a stretcher for a secondary <br />patient. <br /> <br />HEAD PROTECTION - CURB SIDE ACCESS DOOR: A seamless pad specifically designed to protect the head <br />during egress is required. The pad will consist of a two-inch thick foam sheet over a hardwood plywood <br />backing board and covered in seamless vinyl upholstery. <br /> <br />HEAD PROTECTION - REAR ACCESS DOORS: A seamless pad specifically designed to protect the head during <br />egress is required and will comply with current Federal Specification KKK-A-1822. The pad will consist of a two- <br />inch thick foam sheet over a hardwood plywood backing board and covered in seamless vinyl upholstery. <br />
