American Response Vehicles <br />51 <br />ADJUSTABLE ALUMINUM SHELVES: Three shelves will be supplied in the cabinet. Each shelf will be white anti- <br />microbial coated. The shelf will be secured to four shelf clips and an anodized aluminum angle will be securely <br />fastened to the front edge of the shelf. The vertical leg of the angle will provide a lip along the front edge. <br /> <br />RIGHT REAR COMPARTMENT COVER: All exposed surfaces of this patient area side of the M5 compartment <br />will be fully laminated with color keyed laminate. The vertical outer corner will feature a radius anodized <br />aluminum trim. The trim will originate from the top of the mated squad bench and terminate into the ceiling. <br /> <br />UPHOLSTERY PAD: An upholstered pad covering the entire forward facing wall, over the squad bench will be <br />provided to protect occupants sitting on the squad bench. The pad will include at least 1/2" thick foam <br />padding covered in the same heavy duty vinyl covering specified for the squad bench cushions and the <br />remaining upholstery package. <br /> <br />SQUAD BENCH ALUMINUM COMPOSITE: A squad bench will be installed on the curbside of the patient <br />compartment. the squad bench system will be constructed of aluminum and composite components. Seating <br />will be installed as described writing these specifications. All seat belts and anchorage will comply with <br />FMVSS. 209 and 210. The Squad Bench will comply with current KKK-A-1822. A back and head rest will be <br />supplied for all seated personnel along the squad bench. <br /> <br />BIO-WASTE RECEPTACLE: A biological waste receptacle will be supplied and installed in the squad bench. The <br />receptacle will accommodate a sharps container and a solid waste container per the following paragraphs. Both <br />the sharps and the solid waste containers will be enclosed and secured in a molded enclosure, free of crevices. <br />The molded enclosure will be covered with a red Lexan hinged door, inset a molded in perimeter rim. The door <br />pull will be full length. A white colored "Bio-waste" symbol and legend will be applied to the door. <br /> <br />SHARPS CONTAINER: A puncture proof, disposable sharps container located at the head of the squad bench <br />with a 3 quart capacity will be supplied for safe disposal of used/contaminated syringes. The unit will include a <br />spring loaded clip in the mounting to allow for secure mounting in the case of an accident. <br /> <br />WASTE CONTAINER: One six quart (346 cubic inch), rimmed plastic waste container will be supplied and fitted <br />into the "Bio-waste" enclosure. <br /> <br />UNDER LID STOWAGE: The squad bench will provide storage under the access lids. This multipurpose storage <br />area will be finished in high impact, white colored laminate. Must meet current Federal specification current <br />KKK-A-1822. <br /> <br />SQUAD BENCH LIDS: Two (Split) squad bench lids will be supplied over the squad bench storage area. <br /> <br />HINGE, SQUAD BENCH LID(S): All squad bench lids will be installed with butt style, hinges. The hinges will be <br />through bolted for longevity of the vehicle. There will be a minimum of two hinges per lid. <br /> <br />LID CHECKS: Each squad bench lid will have a bi-directional gas spring lid check (Hold open). The force
