The trim will be bonded with a high strength adhesive. <br /> <br />FIT AND FINISH: Mitered joints throughout the interior conversion will have a gap less, hairline fit. Sliding <br />polycarbonate door assemblies will be scratch free and all edges will be smooth and free of saw marks and <br />sharp edges. Cabinet to cabinet joints will not require more than 7/32 diameter welting to create a <br />finished/well-fit look. Cabinets will fit tightly against the ceiling as well utilizing the same requirements as the <br />cabinet to cabinet fit. <br /> <br />FUNCTION: Doors and drawers will fit the opening. When specified, flush fitting doors will have even door to <br />opening gaps. All doors will open and close bind free. Drawers will slide in and out freely, without drag. All <br />drawers will be mounted on side mounted, full extension drawer slides, rated no less than 75 pounds per <br />pair. All hinged composite core doors will have positive latches. <br /> <br />CABINET DOOR OPTIONS <br /> <br />SLIDING SECURE LATCH RESTOCKING WINDOW: When a sliding secure latch restocking window is specified, <br />there will be a restocking sliding SECURE LATCH window installed at the location indicated. This window <br />features several advanced safety features allowing it to meet the new SAE J3058 safety standard. This slider <br />window features a full length spring loaded low-profile bar latch at both ends of the slider window that lock <br />into an aluminum extrusion when the window is closed. The center of the window has aluminum inter-locking <br />stiffeners of panel to distribute outward impact loads across both panels. The window will be able to be <br />opened with one motion and with one hand. To close the user can push the window and slam -latch to closing. <br />This window also features a lower release bar that allows the window to be opened to a restocking position <br />for a majority clear access to the contents of the cabinets without accessing through the sliding window. The <br />restocking feature is to be used when the vehicle is not in motion. This window has been tested to SAEJ3058 <br />testing methods in a third party testing facility and found to safely restrain 30 (thirty) pounds of contents. <br />Windows that do not meet the SAEJ3058 safety requirements are not acceptable to this agency. <br /> <br />STOWAGE LABEL: A label will be applied for any Secure Latch Restocking Sliding Window system indicating its <br />ability to restrain 30 pounds of contents within the stowage area. This secure latch sliding window system has <br />been tested and is compliant within the requirements of SAE J3058 as required under Federal specification <br />KKK-A-1822F section 3.11.3. <br /> <br />HINGED POLYCARBONATE (LEXAN) DOORS: Polycarbonate will hereinafter be identified as Lexan. The Lexan <br />will be at least 3/16 inch thick. The desired thickness will be noted within this specification at each door <br />location. The door orientation, hinge style and latch will also be noted at each door location as well. The door <br />edges will be rounded and smooth since it will be the finished edge that will be visible. <br /> <br />SINGLE FLIP UP LEXAN DOOR: When a single flip up lexan door is specified, a Single 3/8" (0.375 in) thick, <br />overlay flip up door will be supplied on the cabinet. <br /> <br />SOLID HINGED DOOR: When a solid door is specified, a 3/4" (19mm) thick door will be supplied on the cabinet.
