American Response Vehicles <br />24 <br />SKIRT RAILS: The entire skirt-line of the body, forward and aft on the rear wheels will have formed .188" <br />diamond plate skirt rails to protect the body. Each skirt rail will meet current Federal Specification KKK-A-1822. <br />Each rail will be chamfered 45 degrees at both ends. There will also be a series of twelve (12) rectangular holes, <br />six (6) each side. Six (6) of the holes will face outward and six (6) will angle downward. The side facing will be for <br />Red/White warning lights and the downward will be for ground lighting. The rails will be fastened through the <br />bottom of the rail into the bottom of the modular body. The rails will not cut into the paint. They will be <br />mounted through nylon isolators in such a manner that they are spaced off the body. <br /> <br />SKIRTRAIL LIGHT SWITCHING: The above mentioned skirt rail LED lights will be wired to activate by separate <br />switch in cab console. <br /> <br />LED GROUND SWITCHING: The above mentioned LED Ground lights will be wired to activate with marker lights <br />on and unit is in park. <br /> <br />REAR ACCESS DOOR CHECKS: Rear access doors will open at least 150 degrees. The door checks will be 2 <br />piece, heavy duty, cast aluminum, grabber type with gaskets. The door will have a ½ round stock loop that <br />plunges into a positive rubber/cast socket. <br /> <br />REAR MUD FLAPS: Mud flaps behind both sets of rear tires will be supplied and installed. The mud flaps will be <br />1/4" thick natural rubber material. Each mud flap will be sandwiched between the wheel well liner and a <br />torque distribution plate. The torque distribution plate will be at least .100 thick aluminum plate. Each mud <br />flap will be through bolted to the wheel well liner with at least three (3) one-quarter inch (1/4") diameter <br />stainless steel bolt. <br /> <br />CORROSION: The anti-electrolysis procedure for any holes that are drilled for application of materials is to be <br />as follows, After the hole is drilled, the opening(s) are to be treated with Tactile 517 prior to installation of <br />any fasteners to guard against any future corrosion. <br /> <br />EXTERIOR FASTENERS: All screw sites require a replaceable nylon insert for the fastener to thread into to <br />isolate the dissimilar metals. Each hole will be treated with an Electrolysis Corrosion Control compound <br />(Tactile 517) prior to installation of the nylon inserts. All exterior screws will be stainless steel. <br /> <br />TURN SIGNAL LIGHT: There will be additional set of turn signal light fixtures on the front of the body, they will <br />be Whelen Brand series 600, Light Emitting Diode to operate as left and right turn signal lights and will be <br />amber arrow when illuminated. <br /> <br />LOCATION: The aforementioned turn signal lights will be positioned on the module front and just below the <br />front warning lights. <br /> <br />FLANGES: The above lights will have Whelen's optional bright trim bezel (Flange), to embellish the light head. <br /> <br />BODY CORNER CAPS: The front and rear upper body corners will include a cavity built into the aluminum body
