The term "HEAVY DUTY" <br />as used to describe an item shall mean in excess of the usual quantity, quality, or <br />capacity that is normally supplied with the standard production vehicle or component. <br /> Y___N___ <br /> <br /> <br />1.20 COMPLETED VEHICLE DIMENSIONAL PARAMETERS <br /> <br />The vehicle furnished shall comply with the following dimensions at curb weight: <br /> <br />Length, overall (including rear step) 293" Maximum <br />Width, Exterior (excluding mirrors) 98" <br />Wheelbase 173-176" <br />Height, Rear Loading 33" Maximum <br />Height, Ground to Step 17.5" <br />Ground Clearance 5.5" <br />Length, Patient Compartment Interior 167.25" <br />Aisle Space with Cot Installed 12" <br />Width Between Wheel Wells 46” minimum <br /> <br /> Y___N___ <br /> <br />1.21 CURB WEIGHT <br /> <br />The curb weight is the total weight of the complete ambulance and is defined as the <br />chassis, cab, body, and minimum required equipment as required by KKK-A-1822F, <br />and includes a full complement of fuel, lubricants, and coolant shall meet Federal <br />Requirements. <br /> Y___N___ <br />1.22 PAYLOAD ALLOWANCE <br /> <br />A minimum of 6,000 pounds will be allowed over and above the curb weight for <br />personnel, patient, and miscellaneous support equipment. <br /> Y___N___ <br />1.23 INTERIOR HEADROOM <br /> <br />73" of interior headroom shall be provided inside the patient area of the body. It shall <br />be free of obstructions for the Occupants safety and shall meet or exceed all <br />transportation and regulatory requirements. <br /> <br /> Y___N___ <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1.24 TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS CAB/CHASSIS <br /> <br />The ambulance shall be a Type I, Class I, Medium Duty and shall have a chassis <br />furnished with a two-door cab. The cab/chassis shall be suitable for subsequent <br />mounting of a modular (containerized) transferable equipped ambulance body <br />conforming to the requirements specified herein. <br /> Y___N___ <br />
