<br />Upon a motion by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Mr. Molnar and carried by roll call, the
<br />qualification submittals were forwarded to Water Works and Engineering for review and
<br />recommendation.
<br />AWARD BID AND APPROVE CONTRACT — TWO (2) MORE OR LESS, CUSTOM REAR
<br />MOUNT PUMPERS — SPEC C (PR-00002883)
<br />Mr. Jeff Hudak, Central Services, advised the Board that on September 8, 2020, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced equipment. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Hudak
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder,
<br />Rosenbauer America/Sentinel Emergency Solutions, 2900 Telegraph Rd., St. Louis, MO 63125,
<br />in the amount of $575,066 each, with a total for two (2 ) in the amount of $1,150,132. Therefore,
<br />Ms. Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be accepted, and the bid be awarded, and
<br />the contract approved as outlined above. Mr. Molnar seconded the motion, which carried by roll
<br />call.
<br />AWARD BID AND APPROVE CONTRACT — ONE (1) OR MORE, NEW POSITIVE
<br />DISPLACEMENT HYDRO -EXCAVATING MACHINE WITH TANDEM AXLE CAB AND
<br />CHASSIS — SPEC H (PR-00002930)
<br />Mr. Jeff Hudak, Central Services, advised the Board that on September 8, 2020, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced equipment. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Hudak
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder,
<br />Hi -Vac Corporation, 117 Industry Rd., Marietta, OH 45750, in the amount of $385,200.
<br />Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be accepted, and the bid be
<br />awarded, and the contract approved as outlined above. Mr. Molnar seconded the motion, which
<br />carried by roll call.
<br />AWARD BID AND APPROVE CONTRACT — O'BRIEN RECREATIONAL CENTER
<br />RENOVATIONS —PROJECT NO. 118-091 (PR-00002894)
<br />Ms. Charlotte Brach, Engineering, advised the Board that on September 22, 2020, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Ms. Brach
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder,
<br />R. Yoder Construction, Inc., 27453 County Road 150, Nappanee, IN 46550, in the amount of
<br />$434,075. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be accepted, and the
<br />bid be awarded, and the contract approved as outlined above. Mr. Molnar seconded the motion,
<br />which carried by roll call.
<br />AWARD BID AND APPROVE CONTRACT — WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT
<br />FINAL CLARIFIER NOS. 4-5, AERATION TANK NOS. 1-4, AND DISINFECTION
<br />IMPROVEMENTS — PROJECT NO. 119-069A (PR-00002751)
<br />Mr. Jacob Klosinski, Engineering, advised the Board that on September 22, 2020, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Klosinski
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder,
<br />Bowen Engineering Corporation, 8802 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN 46260, in the amount of
<br />$4,272,999; for the base bid plus alternate Nos. 1 and 2. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion
<br />that the recommendation be accepted, and the bid be awarded, and the contract approved as
<br />outlined above. Mr. Molnar seconded the motion, which carried by roll call.
<br />AWARD QUOTATION AND APPROVE CONTRACT — NORTH AND SOUTH
<br />CLEVELAND WELL FIELDS ROOF REPAIRS — PROJECT NO. 118-021D (PR-00003272)
<br />Ms. Rebecca Plantz, Engineering, advised the Board that on September 8, 2020, quotations were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those quotations, Ms.
<br />Plantz recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible
<br />quoter, Dudeck Roofing and Sheet Metal, Inc., 1634 S. Franklin St., South Bend, IN 46613, in
