All rights reserved. <br />sets of the final drawings and specifications will be provided for the Owner’s use, as well as a <br />PDF copy of the Contract Documents for bidding purposes. <br />Task 105 – Opinion of Probable Construction Cost <br />The Engineer will prepare an Engineer's Opinion of Probable Construction Cost for the <br />construction of the project. One preliminary Opinion of Probable Construction Cost will be <br />prepared at the 30 Percent Design deliverable. The final cost opinion will be prepared and <br />delivered to the Owner prior to the Bid opening. <br />Task 106 – Bid Phase Services <br />Owner will place the advertisement of the Invitation to Bid as well as distribute copies of the <br />Bid Documents to prospective Bidders. The Engineer will assist the Owner during the Bid <br />Phase by interpreting the construction contract drawings and specifications. Engineer will lead <br />and prepare for a pre-bid meeting at the Owner’s facility as well as prepare a meeting summary <br />for the Owner to distribute. The pre-bid meeting will be attended by the engineering manager. <br />The Engineer will prepare up to one addenda to the Construction Contract Documents for the <br />Owner to distribute, if required. <br />Engineer will make bid tabulations, and review questionnaires and bid documents for <br />completeness. Engineer will review the Contractor's bonds and insurance only for the purpose <br />of ensuring Engineer’s protections have been included. Engineer will provide a Conformed to <br />Contract (CTC) set of the Construction Contract Documents to the Owner in PDF format which <br />will include the original design drawings, all front end and bid documents as well as insurance <br />and bonds between the contractor and South Bend. Addenda items and changes to the <br />Construction Contract Documents will not be updated by the Engineer. The Owner will <br />evaluate the bids and prepare the Contractor’s Notice to Proceed. <br />Task 107 – Project Management and Administration <br />Provide project supervision, direction, and coordination with the Owner’s management and <br />staff. Project administration and management also includes budget and schedule control, <br />document control, coordination of activities, monthly invoicing and project close-out. Engineer <br />will maintain a change register of any scope changes affecting the project budget or schedule <br />and review it with the Owner on a monthly basis. Engineer shall discuss and receive written <br />approval for any scope changes from the Owner prior to proceeding. <br />PHASE 2 - CONSTRUCTION PHASE SERVICES <br />Construction phase services will be provided for 9 consecutive months beginning <br />approximately June 2021. Services beyond 9 months can be provided as a supplemental <br />service. <br />Task 201 – Preconstruction Meeting <br />At a date and time selected by the Owner and at the Owner’s site, Engineer will assist the City <br />with conducting a preconstruction conference.
