High Build, Water Based Smooth Coating Sytem: Water based, elastomeric, acrylic latex <br />smooth two -coat system. <br />1. Stated by manufacturer as suitable for masonry and concrete surfaces cured 28 days, <br />minimum; cement plaster, cement fiber board, and metal. <br />2. Dry Film Thickness: 12 to 15 mils, minimum. <br />3. Wind Driven Rain Resistance: Passing when tested according to ASTM D6904 at 98 <br />miles per hour for 24 hours. <br />4. Water Vapor Transmission: ASTM E96/E96M; 16.9 perms, maximum. <br />5. Color: To be selected by Architect from manufacturer's full range. <br />6. Texture: Smooth. <br />7. Manufacturers: <br />a. Latex sealant as required in Section 07 9200. <br />PART 3 EXECUTION <br />3.1 EXAMINATION <br />A. Verify existing conditions before starting work. <br />B. Verify that substrate surfaces are ready to receive work as instructed by the coating <br />manufacturer. Obtain and follow manufacturer's instructions for examination and testing of <br />substrates. <br />C. Cementitious Substrates: Do not begin application until substrate has cured 28 days minimum <br />and measured moisture content is not greater than 16 percent. <br />3.2 JOINT REPAIR <br />A. Apply latex sealant to all open joints and cracks in masonry that are not repaired or filled in <br />Section 040100. <br />B. Allow sealant to cure for period recommended by sealant manufacturer. <br />3.3 PRIMING <br />A.
