South Bend Fire Department <br />One (1)Dump-ReliefVlv,SuctionSide, TFT A18 <br />20-31-3600 <br />INTAKE RELIEF/DUMP VALVE <br />One(1)TFTA18series,2-1/2"intakerelief/dumpvalvepresetat125psishallbepermanently <br />installedonthesuctionsideofthefirepump.Thevalveshallhaveanadjustmentrangeof75psi <br />to250psi,andshallbedesignedtoautomaticallyself-restoretoanon-relievingpositionwhen <br />excessive pressure is no longer present. <br />Discharge side of the intake relief valve shall be plumbed away from the pump operator. <br />One (1)Pump Cooler, Bypass-To-Tank, 3/8" <br />20-31-4100 <br />FIRE PUMP COOLING <br />The fire pump shall be equipped with 3/8" cooling line from the pump to the water tank. This <br />re-circulation line shall be controlled by a pump panel control valvewith nameplate label noting <br />it as the "fire pump bypass cooler". There shall be a check valve installed in the pump cooler <br />line to prevent tank water from back flowing into the pump when it is not in use. <br />One (1)HeatExchanger,Engine,Complete <br />20-31-5200 <br />CHASSIS ENGINEHEAT EXCHANGER COOLING SYSTEM <br />Theapparatusshallbeequippedwithaheatexchangerforsupplementarychassisenginecooling <br />duringfirepumpoperations.Amanuallyopenedvalve,mountedattheoperator'spanel,shalldirect <br />waterfromthefirepumptotheheatexchangerthatismountedintheengineradiatorcoolinghose. <br />The system shall provide cooling water from the fire pump to circulate around the engine radiator <br />coolantwithoutmixingorcomingindirectcontactwiththeenginecoolant.Thecomplete <br />installation shall be done by the fire apparatus manufacturer. <br />A nameplate label shall be installed on the pump panel noting "engine cooling system" with "on- <br />off" opening directions noted. <br />One (1)Pump Test,Pumper, UL <br />20-31-1100 <br />UNDERWRITERS LABORATORIES FIRE PUMP TEST <br />ThepumpshallundergoanUnderwritersLaboratories Incorporatedtestperapplicablesectionsof <br />NFPA standards, prior to delivery of thecompleted apparatus. <br />The UL acceptancecertificate shall be furnishedwith the apparatus on delivery. <br />10040-001909/02/20 <br />44 <br />PDF created with pdfFactory Pro trial version www.pdffactory.com <br /> <br />
