South Bend Fire Department <br />One (1)Pump Test, Label <br />20-31-1500 <br />FIRE PUMP TEST LABEL <br />Afirepumpperformanceandratinglabelshallbeinstalledonthefireapparatuspumppanel.The <br />labelshalldenotelevelsofpumpperformanceandtestingcompletedatfactory.Theseshall <br />includeGPMatnetpumppressure,RPMatsuchlevel,andotherpertinentdataasrequiredby <br />applicableNFPAstandards.Inaddition,thepressurecontroldevice,tanktopumpflowtests,and <br />other required testing shall be completed. <br />Inaddition,theentirepump,suctionanddischargepassagesshallbehydrostaticallytestedtoa <br />pressureasrequiredbyapplicableNFPAstandards.Thepumpshallbefullytestedatthepump <br />manufacturer'sfactorytotheperformancespecificationsasoutlinedbyapplicableNFPA <br />standards. Pump shall be free from objectionable pulsation and vibration. <br />If applicable, the fire pump shall be tested and rated as follows: <br />100% of rated capacity at 150 pounds net pressure. <br /> 70% of rated capacity at 200 pounds net pressure. <br /> 50% of rated capacity at 250 pounds net pressure. <br />100% or rated capacity at 165 pounds net pressure. <br />One (1)Intk, Gtd, 6" NST,5"AKRElec Vlv,5"Pipe,FrontRH Bmpr,9323 Cntrl <br />22-23-1300 <br />GATED 6" INTAKE -- FRONT RIGHT BUMPER <br />One (1)front right side bumper gated suction intake with 5" piping shall be provided. Intake <br />pipe shall be provided with drain valves mountedat all low points of plumbing. <br />Intake shall be gated with an Akron Model 7950electrically operated 5" butterfly valve, with <br />control at the pump operator's panel. The valveoperating mechanism shall prevent movement <br />of the valve from the fully closed position to the fully open position or vice versa, in less than <br />three seconds. The valve control shall havea colored identification label. <br />A pressure dump/reliefvalve shall be included that is factory preset at 125PSI and field <br />adjustable from 75 to 250 PSI. The pressure dump/relief valve shall provide over-pressure <br />protection for the suction hose even when the intake valve is closed. Theoutlet of the <br />dump/relief valve shall be 2.5" in diameter to allow directing the discharge flow awayfrom the <br />pump operator's position. <br />An inlet fitting with 5" IPT x 6" NST thread shall be provided, complete with a removable <br />strainer screen.
