South Bend Fire Department <br />One (1)Screens/Anodes,Pump <br />21-00-2000 <br />PUMP ANODES <br />There shall be sacrificial, zinc anodes in the pumpsteamer ports which shall protect the pump <br />and piping from electrolysis. These anodes shall also act as screens. <br />One (1)Piping,Stnls Stl -1250GPM& Up <br />21-00-3300 <br />PUMP PLUMBING SYSTEM <br />Thefirepumpplumbingsystemshallbeofrigidstainlesssteelpipeorflexiblepipingwithstainless <br />steelfittings.Mechanicalgroovedcouplingsshallbeinstalledtopermitflexingoftheplumbing <br />system and allow for quick removal of piping or valves for service.Flexible hose couplings shall <br />be threaded stainless steel or mechanical groovedcoupling connections. <br />The fire pump and plumbing shall be hydrostatically tested in compliance to applicable sections <br />of NFPA standards. Thetest results shall be included in the delivery documentation. <br />One (1)Pump Drain,Master,Manifold, PushPull Type <br />21-01-0200 <br />FIRE PUMP MASTER DRAIN <br />Thefirepumpplumbingsystemandfirepumpshallbepipedtoasinglepush-pulltypemaster <br />pump drain assembly. <br />ADDITIONAL LOW POINT DRAINS <br />The plumbing system shall be equipped with additional low point manually operated drain <br />valves to allow total draining of the fire pump plumbing system. These valves shall be <br />accessible from the sideof the vehicleand labeled. <br />One (1)Intk Manifold,StnlsStl <br />21-01-5500 <br />STAINLESS STEELINTAKE MANIFOLD <br />ThesuctionmanifoldassemblyshallbefabricatedwithSchedule#10type304stainlesssteel.All <br />threadedfittingsshallbeaminimumofSchedule10stainlesssteel.Thesuctionmanifold <br />assemblyshallhaveradiusedsweepelbowstominimizewaterturbulence intothesuctionvolute. <br />The suction manifold shall be welded and pressure tested prior toinstallation.
